OG thinking about getting back into an ITR
I'm a very old school H-T guy. I used to own PY 00-477. Thankfully the Yellow Dragon is now in good hands owned by Shawn (Get Right). Actually both Wes and I are considering getting back into ITRs (most of you know Wes/White Dragon - one of the eventmasters of the many ITR Expos).
So I made the mistake of selling my 06 EVO IX RS. I think I want to look at getting another track toy to do some HPDEs with...maybe something more later like time trials. I have a thread here asking for some suggestions in my search if any of you are interested in sharing. https://honda-tech.com/forums/road-racing-autocross-time-attack-19/im-thinking-about-track-toy-2872859/
I'm really not in a hurry, but I would like to make a purchase of something by spring. I was wondering what everyone thought about this FBP 00-1221 in TX. Does anyone here know the history of it? It looks a little rough around the edges (paint looks to be chipping, some interior scrapes, unknown mods, etc), but it only has 58k and the price seems good. http://legend-auto.ebizautos.com/det...d-6443530.html
How about this one in KS? FBP 00-1293 has more miles and costs a little more, but it looks to be in a little better condition and it's MUCH closer to me (3 hrs max)

I have more interest in a 98 ITR, but I just started to look around. I'm still considering other cars, but since I owned an ITR before I know what to expect with one...and I would expect to have a lot of fun on the tRack again. -Todd

Re: OG thinking about getting back into an ITR
That would be incredible if you and wes got back into R's
As far as your search goes I think you're going to have a hard time finding one that isn't rough around the edges, best of luck sir!

I said I don't want a title!
Re: OG thinking about getting back into an ITR
How much are you looking to spend? Mine will probably be for sale this spring (original owner). 2000 ITR with 22K original and absolutely never been in an accident.
It actually may be a little too pristine (or expensive) if all you want is a track toy, but it's something to think about and the history is all there.

shameless plug: my stock black 01, clean title, under 10k. Little bit of honda rot but otherwise solid, would make excellent daily or track beater.

Have had 3 type R's so far, and there's a reason I keep coming back to them.
Easy and cheap to fix, reliable, fun.
Definitely not the quickest as you know, but bang for your buck, definitely the most fun.
A turbo, rotex, vortex, jrsc, or similar spinning wheel could fix that lack of whp problem

If that would be your track toy and/or time trial is in your agenda, consider something that is caged already. It'd save you a LOT of time, money and hassle. Either way, welcome back!

This looks like a pretty decent deal if all checks out....in the above sticky....
Good luck in your search....
Good luck in your search....
For Sale: 2001 Integra Type R, Phoenix Yellow.
Clean title in hand.
205,000 mainly highway miles. This vehicle is immaculate, especially considering the miles covered. This vehicle has been washed and waxed regularly since I purchased it in summer '03. There is no body damage and body work. On-time oil changes, solid maintenance history, and new parts. Minor paint chips on the front lip and 3 easily removed door dings are the only flaws.
Only mods are AEM Short Ram Intake(converted from Cold-Air), Mugen 5-way adjustable suspension.
New Exedy clutch and lightweight flywheel installed Spring 2007
New Honda Piston rings, etc installed Fall 2007
I'm asking $8500. No trades.

There's a reason why I have had 4 ITR's. I had an Evo 9 as well and sold that. You just keep coming back. Now I have 1 for track and 1 for DD so do it and get another one.

Re: OG thinking about getting back into an ITR
To read these posts here make me jealous!
An ITR in Germany is very expensive. I would sell my soul to et a second one for DD! *g*
And the taxes and insurance per year are horrible! :/
Maybe you are interested in importing a very nice MR ITR fro Austria? A freind of mine thinks about selling his 1998 track Integra. But the prices here in Europe are much higher than yours in the States... :/

Todd getting another R??? That'd be sweet. I have seen the R from KS a few times. Its a good looking car for sure. If you come down to inspect it, let us know and we'll go grab lunch or something.
A real life pic of Todd for those that do not know him.
