You definitely won't be disappointed... I can promise you that.
My first Expo was Expo 6. Jon D talked me into driving to Michigan for the event. I was incredibly nervous and didn't feel like I was going to fit in because I didn't own a Type R at the time.
Looking back I am so glad I went. Everyone there was awesome and more than willing to chat or offer you a ride along. I've been hooked ever since! I hope to never miss an Expo again.

These traits still embody the community today. As a whole we may not always approach you first to say hey but everyone is always welcoming and there to help another in need, even if they only need a refreshment.

I agree HT isn't nearly what it once was.

You can never leave once you have experienced an ITR. The DC2-R will forever and always hold a place in my heart! I tried to move on, test drove other cars that I thought could replace one... nope, never happen, never will. Just the time they were built, the purpose of them being built... I can guarantee we will never see that again in a new car.

I also lurk around from time to time. Mostly just selling parts on H-T cause of volume of the traffic. U can find me on ITRCA. Hmmm since we're on the subject of OG's and stuff let's take a look back through my timeline.
Brief Timeline Flashback:
Year '97 bought my first Honda Del SLOW.
Year '00 SOLD Del Slow & bought 00 Civic Si BLK
Year '01 bought my first PY-R & Sold my 00 Si
Year '01 to '04 Street Racing Idiot
Year '05 My first ITR Expo 5 track event @ MAM
Year '06 Sold R to join Army
Year '09 Came back alive from deployment & bought my 2nd ITR. Back to PY.
Same year did a few events w/ We-Todd Crew at CMP
Year '10 Expo 10 @ Autobahn
Year '11 Expo 11 @ CMP
Same year did a lot of track events at Mid-Ohio, Beaver, & Nelson Ledges.
Year '12 Purchased my 3rd ITR. Champ White
Same year Expo 12 @ Mid-Ohio
Current year '13. Plan on doing 2-4 events. WMHM & Expo 13 for sure. And still rolling 2 ITR's & a Ridgeline.
Damn kinda crazy looking back at my timeline. So would this qualify me as an OG? hahaha

2008, Amazing car. Wanted a big boy ITR that I could drive every day. I'll miss the rawness of the R, but the 4.2L V8 pushing 420hp will do the job

First time checked this board in a year or so. Interesting to see some old names. My ITR was sold in 2008 to some guys who are racing it in Canada. I now just instruct at HPDE in. 07 S2000 here in the Dallas Tx area.

Yeah, everything is good. Life has many changes over the years.... births (my son who is 3 now)...deaths (Dad, friends, family)...and many cars. Right now car wise we are with a Prius (I LOVE this car for what it is...basic efficient transport), MDX which will eventually get traded in for an Odyssey (we love minivans also) and my S2K which is almost fully track prepped (KW Clubsports, different anti-roll bars, Harddog Roll bar, I/H/E, and I am about to install some aero.

Wow...David, great to see you pop in. I just had dinner/drinks with a few R-speed boys last weekend in Chinatown. Opie, Edwin, Tran and a new guy whom you've never met. Opie still speaks so highly of you anytime we all get together.
