After many years I finally get to ***** the car. My 98 ITR. Still not finished but she is pretty damn close. It has been a long time coming.

There is a PY floating around that was originally CW. A friend of mine repainted his PY to a different yellow paint code (GM color I believe). Are you asking if it can be done or if it's sacrilegious?

I am asking if anyone regretted it, wondering if the yellow started to show up after time. Maybe after some crazy rock chips or changing of parts if the new paint started to ship to the point where you can see the yellow.

Not in the cases I've seen. Although I guess it depends on the job itself. Both cars in question had a complete redo on the paint and they were completely stripped before the new color was applied. No chance of the previous color showing through.

when you say stripped are you talking about acid dipping the car? I thought about doing that but it cost a good amount. Obviously a good paint shop will sand the car down but there will still be yellow in the cracks. Just curious as to how far others went.

No acid dip but paint was completely removed, as best as possible. I didn't see the car(s) in that stripped state however.

need your opinion guys... so with the next ITR (with a JDM front end) I plan on purchasing I'm torn between painting it either Championship White or a nice silver color like SSM or ASM (satin silver metallic or albaster silver metallic , both silver paints come from the RSX) theres also a possbility I may even consider the Jade Green Metallic too from the 05/06 RSX.. its a nice dark green color with lots of silver too it
Between the 3 mentioned colors which would you guys choose in order from first to last?? Thanks for advice in advance .. heres also samples of the colors.
