Re: OFFICIAL: 2003 Integra Type-R Expo Details/Updates (Asahi)
Trey has done an excellent job with planning Expo 3.
Who will do an excellent job planning the ultimate caravan? I know FL, GA, SC, NC will all ride together Wednesday night, then meet up with VA Friday morning. Specifics on times/location need to be organized well in advance so we can make this a success (the caravan that is).

Amazing job Trey.
Should this thread replace the sticky thread??
Edit: I mean shouldn't this thread be the 'new' sticky, replacing the current one?

Re: OFFICIAL: 2003 Integra Type-R Expo Details/Updates (Chris N)
I'm assuming there's no deadline for the banquet only registration or will there be a limit to how many people can attend?
Thanks,
Stock - who's interested in at least attending the banquet.

Hotel accommodations should be available soon as well.
Also got a generic reply back from Falken that they are reviewing our sponsorship request. Should hear something in 5-6 weeks they said.

Re: OFFICIAL: 2003 Integra Type-R Expo Details/Updates (Asahi)
Update: Grassroots motorsports is sponsoring the Expo.
Just spoke with Grssroots Motorsports on the phone.
They are putting an article on the event in the next issue of GRM that just went to publication. They will be donating subscriptions and will try and cover the event. If they are not able to attend the event if we submit a nice short article with HIGH res pics they will likely publish that as well.

Where's Don when we need him. He usually takes a chit load of pics at events he goes to. Not sure how high res they want though.. I guess take the pics at the highest the camera will do and keep transferring to the laptop that'll be broadcasting the expo live on we-todd-did-racing.com, who is also an official sponser once assdime get's off his ***.

Something that might help convince Falken to sponsor would be the skidpad suspension test idea we kicked around in this thread: https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=363183
I would naturally assume that Azenis would be the best "standard" tire to use for such a test. That might help convince them to come.
As far as actually making this happen, could you find out if we would be able to use the Beaverun skidpad while we're there (without incurring extra expense, obviously).
To everyone else,
I would be willing to coordinate this test as far as keeping track of who and what will be involved, making up the test methodologies and procedures, and that sort of thing. I'd also be willing to use my car as the "stock suspension" test car. But since I'm also driving, I would need at least one other person who is NOT driving to coordinate the actual tests. Anyone else interested in making this happen? If so, please post in the thread mentioned above and we'll see if we can get this thing rolling.

Beaver Run's vehicle Dynamics course will be occupied sat and sun with a "pro Auto-x" not sure3 if that means prosolo or solo I or solo II but I discussed doing this test Friday evening. Think we could do it in 3 hours? Normal course rental runs $350/day for friday.

Re: OFFICIAL: 2003 Integra Type-R Expo Details/Updates (Asahi)
Them being booked Sat. and Sun. kinda sucks. If we had two sets of tires, we could run tests non-stop. If they're identical, having two sets shouldn't skew the results any more than any other variable. The exact testing methodology is something that would still need to be worked out, so it's hard to say how long each test would take at the moment. If they take 30 minutes each, that's six tests in three hours. That might be good enough. I was really hoping we could do tire tests as well, but both tire and suspension in three hours seems too ambitious.
By when would we need to let Beaverun know that we wanted to reserve the skidpad for Friday?
Come to think of it, this might be a way to convince some suspension manufacturers involved as well.

I have already contacted Endless/Zeal (USA) and TEIN USA. We could contact others if this takes off.

BDiddy - I'll be there taking pictures. I have a pretty high-end 5.0 MP camera so maybe we can work something out together. Let me know what you would like to do.

I was actually discussing with someone the other day about being the coordinator for ALL caravanning and having them work with regional people to organize and designate times and Locations for the "official" Caravans. I will post up info when I have something more firm.

BTW: IPS Racing will be bringing a certain Japanese Companies Race Car More details to come as we finalize plans.
Hint: Rhymes with Poon and is a Spork without the Fork part
