Sorry to hear about your fitment issues. Exhaust and header look nice. Maybe if you take your car to a decent muffler shop they can tweak the system to fit properly. Keep us posted on your tuning...

Did you try to talk to AJ? May be they will give you a refund or send you another one that will fit right. They always have great customer service and support.

My T1R fits perfect no rattles or anything, but the angle to the left kinda pissed me off.

You can't go wrong with Fujitsubo , they are much bigger and respected Exhaust Manufactorer. Quality is top notch, I have seen the 350Z Fujitsubo Exhaust, it is very nice. I think they are same company as Yokohama?

Man this sucks dude. I swear, the first generation exhaust has no fitment issues, I was actually impressed by that aspect. I'm sure Disorder will agree. I don't see why a second generation exhaust would fit worse than the first. Doesn't really make sense to me .

Who else is going to be at DSR with you?

Yeaup, no fitment issues here. Just a heat shield rattle that was easily fixed!

Edit- the exhaust is made in japan. directly stated from AJ in the past.

I know the Fujitsubo tip is much bigger (90mm) but the diameter is only 60.5mm compared to a full 2.5ID of the T1R, how is that bigger?

It depends which model of Fujitsubo exhaust you are talking about. The Legalis R has a very DC2-R stock sized tip!

I was referring to the size of the exhaust manufactorer when I said Fujitsubo is bigger, not the exhaust ID.

I know T1R is 2.5" ID, it is a very nice and I was consider getting one until I see all the fitment problems.

I have the JDM 4-1 its not the DC just plaind JDM, SMSP's Cat and T1R exhaust full titanium exhaust, with custom bent 2 1/2 piping between the cat and the type one. I was the first Yellow ITR for dave from R&D motorsports to sell this to and i love it, little loud for me but gave good increases on mid range and high range but lost a little in the low range. I have no fitment problems what so ever no rubbin and no rattling. I had to do no cutting nor no bending of heat shields. Guess its all in how u install it. Props to Dave too for all the Great Service he has given me.

Are you sure the T1R is 2.5" ID? It is 64mm OD and about 61mm ID to my measurements.

And you know this how? Do you know who the manufacturere of the T1R system is for A&J? I do, they are not Small, but very Very Large. PS Its Made in Japan not Taiwan, I knew who manufactured the Exhaust systems before the guys at A&J ever told me.

So who makes this exhaust? It seems like there are a lot of fitment/quality issues with the T1R considering it's from a "very very large" company.

Drama... but we dont need to flame over where a exhaust is made in. (No pun intended)

Id have to say, the quality of the T1R is good, but I don't know if it is JDM good. Its just this feeling I got when I saw the system in person, picking it up, inspecting it etc etc. Don't get me wrong, I heard the system on another H-T members DC2R, it sounds very good. But theres just something about the finish of the exhaust that doesnt grasp me as being 100% made in Japan, which leaves doubts in my mind. Seeing it up against a Spoon, HKS, Apex'i, Mugen unit, the appeal of the T1R's quality isnt quite there for me, but it is still good. Its all the little things that I have noticed, which makes me wonder, just where are these exhausts made. Im no expert, I may be wrong about my doubts, but this is my 2cents worth. Im sure AJR would clear everything up for us though. Im still thinking of getting one.

Yes, AJR please clear this up for us. Is it a secret where the T1R exhausts are manufactured? If not, is it a major Japanese firm or a Taiwanese/etc firm? I'm still very interested in the T1R although the Fujitsubo is starting to grow on me. I just dont like the huge tip on the RM01a...c'mon AJR, sell me this T1R

If you had a Company making exhausts or ANY Product for you, would you announce it to the world so that all your competitors could follow suit and contact that same company to make products for them?
NO. Its called having an edge over your competition.

How about taking the word of some respectable people on Honda-Tech.
