That's so nice, you are very lucky take good care of it.

On a side note, no power steering from the factory.
First time I heard of one without ps, but it's a good thing.
Thanks, learned a new thing everyday, so ps was an option right?

Positive! 98 was the first year for silver, and silver was available pretty much then on. However very few were made in 98. It has color codes in the passenger door jam and all.

Here is an equipment break down of different model R's...

http://translate.google.com/tr....html

Mine is a "Race Base" model cause no ABS/power steering!!

Mine also came with a Metal Mugen badge on the rear pannel , along with a Mugen exhaust manifold 4-2-1 Gymkhana spec under the hood

Realy nice car you have there !!!!! I tought the track version of the R was that you will have no time clock , no ABS and no rear third brake light !!! I am saying this because a freind of mine had one that was a track version and only those things he didn`t have , he had power steering. Also you have the Pioneer carozeria stereo because the track version didn`t came with a stereo from the factory , so you have an aftermarket one . If you want to keep the JDM stereo and make it receave all the radio station there is a chip that you hook it up to your stereo and it will make the unit get all the radio channels I bought one for mine because I didn`t want to take my factory unit out because of the Type Rx thingy

And about the silver paint , I used to work with a dealer that imports cars from Japan and I used to look in the car stock dealers from where he buys the cars and there were silver ones for sale . so they are for real

Good luck with your car

Yeah mine does NOT have ABS, SRS, 3rd brake light, Power steering, stereo....
When I got it it did not have a stereo nor any other speakers except the aftermarket tweets. It looks like they had some speakers mounted on the rear deck. I did put a Gathers double din (cd, tape and mini disc) in it and put the freguency adaptor on it. Works great!! Oh and I had to put some speakers in the doors...

Interior pics are up on page one. Batteries went dead when I tried to get engine pay pics, but will get them soon!

As far as the VSM goes, I haven't seen many pics in japan of the 2dr, but have seen alot in the 4drs??!! Weird!

If you think it looks good in the pictures, you should see it in person. I am lucky enough to have personally experienced this R. Theres nothing like the feeling you get when you sit in the drivers seat, not to mention the sweet sweet sound of VTEC straight from Japan. Nice car Whopper.
