This question is for SMSP/Dave

how would a setup like this compare to a 2.5"-3" system with a silencer in the tip?

This set up doesn't require a silencer. I would speculate that an open 2-1/2" system would make more power than a choked (silencer) 3" system. But it's only speculation since I can't recall ever seeing a dyno of a 3" system with and without a silencer installed.

You might be a little behind the times. I think he's had a 3" exhaust for a little while, and there's one on my K motor track car on a DC2 ITR chassis.

Yah gk, I totally forgot about this thread and then replied when I saw he was working on a 3". I didn't realize that he posted 6 months ago about that though~!
