New Daily Driver for the Arrrrrgggggggggh
Well, finally getting rid of the CRX HF. We purchased it two years ago in hopes of making it through one winter, but ended up keeping it through 2. Still has plenty of life left in it, but we were itching to get a nicer and safer daily since I travel a 40 mile round trip to work each day. I'll definitely miss the gas mileage
Enter the new daily. 2003 Black Mica, 5-speed, Mazda Protege 5. Not as Balla as some of the dailys I have seen on the forum but for $7500, it was tough to beat. Has plenty of space to haul ****, is very fun to drive and should get 32-34 mpg. Woot!
To keep it ITR related. My 11 year old R

It was a daily for 4 years, but sadly she's a garage queen now. The good thing about daily drivers is I can park them where parking is free downtown without them getting stolen.

Thanks! Funny thing is its in better shape than the 03' Mazda that we purchased. Only problem with buying used sometimes.
I think the Type R is sitting at 106K. I hit 100K, two years ago so she's not driven a ton anymore. I used to drive 15-18K/year when I daily drove it.

Thats my wife's car. Still in the Garage. We live 2 miles from where she works so even though we've had that car for 2.5 years, I think the MINI has 13,000 miles on it.

Really? I've seen much, much worse here. Are there regulations that don't let you drive old rusty beaters over there? People drive old rust buckets all the time here.... Hell, the CRX HF's are even environmentally friendly. 40-50mpg is damn nice.

There were in Germany, very strict.

werd.
my CRX had no visible rust from the outside, but because the sills had some rust within 250mm of a load-bearing part of the body (jacking point) then I had to have a new sill welded in or it would have been scrapped.
your CRX would be scrapped over here, no-way would it be tolerated.

Engine has 190,000 miles and hardly burns oil. Depending on who buys it, this thing may end up being driven for another 60,000+ miles

Your sig says Team Lazy, you should understand the lazyness. It looks about the same only back to stock stance since I returned it to stock to run D-stock at the Auto-x.
I'll try to take some soon. I've been meaning too, but things have been busy
