just wondering , whats the benefits of a twin loop over a reg strait threw like a greddy evo or sp (with resenator cut out)
I always wondered this also, i have the old skool mugen sport exhaust on my JDM integra Si, and it has a twin internal loop, which i figured would be more restrictive than a straight through exhaust.....but figure that mugen would hardly design an exhaust system that is going to restrict exhaust gasses?????????? Anyone????

Yes, the main purpose of a twinloop exhaust is to reduce noise and still flow in a efficient way.

Mugen twinloop for JDM I believe is 2.5" ID.

It's on my car now and i love the sound..

i have a question.. what's the diameter for the mugen b-pipe?

is it 2.25?? i think T1R is 2.5..
mugen b pipe is smaller than my T1R b pipe
any thoughts?

thx

Not to be technical here but the Mugen DOES NOT reduce noise. It's louder than stock, although not by much. When it's first installed, it's so quiet that it doesn't even seem like you installed it. Once it breaks in, it lets out a pretty subdued but menacing growl but mainly only during acceleration. It's noticeably louder than stock though. It's a 60.5mm exhaust which equates to about 2.36". The piping that's located between the cat and resonator is a little smaller than 60.5mm though.

I drove around today and i noticed in sound wise it's EXCTLY same as T1R b-pipe and stock axle back. i could guess it but i was right.
hehe but it's LITTLE louder than stock with T1R b-pipe.
is it good idea to cut the rear section flange out of the mugen B-pipe and weld it in to my T1R b-pipe to go with Mugen Twin loop.
i noticed before the reonator Mugen has smaller piping but at the rear section it's larger (probably 2.5)

So it is true that even if you run 2.5" b pipe the mugen muffler would actually be a bottleneck being 2.36", no?

If i run 2.5 " b pipe i dont think there's any bottle neck cuz i think mugen axle back has big diameter with no bottle neck. i am thinking the pipe on axle back is close to 2.5
