My ITR w/ winter gear, and can you guess what diff? ( 56K :( )
Well, as many of you know, I purchased my ITR about a 2months and a half ago. The only prob w/ the car is that the passenger mirror had a crack. Well, i replaced the mirror, anyway, this may be easy, but can you guess what diff about the new one??
OLD MIRROR(Cracked on outer edge)
NEW MIRROR
Winterized yo!
more winter goodness
btw, she's sitting on 195/60's for winter if your wondering why its a tad higher than stock. Also I recently purchased splash guards, and the millenia's are thanks to Yellow dragon.
Also thanks to Austrian Type R for saving me mad money and selling me the mirror. Acura was gonna charge $220 to replace and paint outer edge. I got mirror for $85 shipped. BTW.... If anyone wants a 97' CW mirror, its for sale $50 shipped obo. I thought maybe someone might need other parts off of my mirror.
Larkin who is still using scanned images

Well, it doesnt say "Objects in mirror are closer than they appear" So there is a difference for you. Rick

The new mirror has a crack on the mirror itself, rather than the housing?

It does not have the "objects in mirror" message because its the driver's side mirror for cars that are RHD. The mirrors are different between drivers side and passenger sides.
Excerpt about this from : http://www.auto-glass.com/carmirror.htm
"Also, did you ever notice that the passenger side mirror always has the "objects are closer" text on the mirror. This mirror is designed this way to increase your field of vision and to eliminate the blind spot problem. Its always a good thing to replace that with a convex mirror glass verses a normal mirror. Don't substitute this as one day it might save your life."

I thought the words appear on mirrors that have the different magnification than stock mirrors. Is it still the same as the USDM mirror in terms of what it shows??
