Re: (get RIGHT)
Beautiful car, can someone explain the look of the A and B pillar. Is that a cover or a structural reinforcement?

they are stock s2k calipers
if you knew anything about the mugen active gate system you would know that its the proprietary rotors that makes the kit tick

Re: (TYPERman2001)
honda does not own mugen
no blood relative is allowed to work for honda
the owner of mugen has the last name honda..but he is not part of hmc.
and like he said...the system is good because of the rotors. and using leverage rather than clamping force to better braking.

really? i always thought it had to do with the gaps in the rotors.
what is the leverage involved?

Re: (R you serious)
by going with a larger rotor..the caliper is placed father away from the centerline of the wheel increasing leverage.
think of it like using a large breaker bar to loosen a bolt versus a smaller wrench...the smaller wrench can get it done but just takes more effort. this extra effort creates heat though.
some systems add more pistons to clamp the rotor more, more effort.. like spoon, but without going to a larger master cylinder pedal feel and travel change (more fluid to be displaced).
the rotor design is also a good because it draws air from the center and pushes it out, so no need for brake ducting.
another plus of the system is the lightness. unsprung weight is more important than sprung.
the mugen system stops better, using less effort and generating less heat.
hope this makes sense..its late and im tired
