this deck is awesome! Haha at first I was kinda upset I wouldn't have an aux to connect my phone but I found this Bluetooth cassette setup that works like a charm! If I come across another one of these I'll send it your way

Its been a while, have had a few updates....

So sold the Black TE's because I had been piecing another set together in the same specs and was finally able to locate a 4th wheel.


Cars currently sitting on my spare set of 5ZIGEN FN01RC although these are for sale if anyone's interested


Picked up this set of SSR type C in 16x8 +45 which will be used as my "everyday" wheels to roll around on, in the process of refinishing too



Waiting on the 4th wheel to come in and these will go off to get refinished as well.

Finally stumbled across this thread, I had the issue of h-t with your eg feature back in 09, the cars in h-t helped me keep the Honda fire burning back then, congrats on the R and nice fleet of cars!

Got a few more updates here...
Picked up a Mugen cluster for a pretty good deal! Had to swap the Mugen guts to a 98 spec cluster to keep the abs light in tact as well as swap my rear green film from my USDM cluster to work properly. But after math looks great!



Also sourced another one of these bad boys but decided to sell it rather than hoard parts haha


Got slicks mounted to the TE's since I'll be doing a track day at button willow on the 25th of June!


Decided to ditch the Dot 3 OE brake fluid and go with some DOT 4 MOTUL RBF 600 in time for track day


alignment done to my specs over at the local Morgan Hill Honda Dealership (Perks of knowing the master tech haha)

Should be ready for track day, I'll post up some pics from the event!

Yeah its a "rare" part for the ITR as they were optional in Japan and the faux CF matches the rest of the interior pieces nicely

Here are a few pictures from the track day at buttonwillow last weekend for the VTEC CLUB event. Ran CW13 and managed consistent 2:12 which isn't to bad for the first time out. Hope to work the time down with more seat time. On to pics!

I have a full K20A-R swap I'm gonna be putting in but I wanna re spray the car so kinda waiting for the funds to paint and swap at the same time that way I can also re spray the engine bay

Sold the Gathers 96 spec deck but found a 98 Spec Gathers to take its place. I liked how this had the matching amber background as well as the dancing display that follows the music on the upper section


Even found a brand new remote for it



Made a trade and came up on a trunk mat! Also had the rear bars polished up



Found these through capital seating UK. Made specifically for the SR4 RECAROS. These fit very well


So here is where things take a turn. My original plan for this car was to get it re painted to clean up all the dings/scratches and put the K swap in it. But a part of me did not wanna cut up an original R. I had gone around local quality paint shops to get a few quotes and seemed that I was gonna pay about 4k for a paint job. So I sold a few car parts I was hoarding and saved money over several months and was just about ready to drop off the car for paint until.....
I stumbled on a 2001 TYPE R shell that was posted for sale. Reasons I liked it was because it had fresh paint (although not the original nhbp color) and was the perfect candidate for a K swap! I messaged the seller, gave him an offer and we settled on a number that I liked. Now I will be making a build thread for the new R shortly but just wanna note that the PY ITR will be going back to stock form. I still plan to repaint it down the road and completely overhaul the original engine/ transmission. So the show isn't over yet!

I will be updating soon with the progress back to stock.

Great plan. Now you will have a nice stocker ITR and a K-swap one to beat on at the track. Things like the Gathers deck, JDM Recaros and other neat OEM/JDM additions can be at home on the PY while you throw go-fast goodies on the K-swap with no regret. I can't think of a more suitable pairing of ITR's. Awesome moves

How does the Gathers operate in terms of cd/radio etc? And was the install straightforward?
