Your looking at 2 wheels in different catagories. Expense and Cheap. I had the Axis 7 in a 17" it weight about 22-23pds piece. Switched to the SSR competitions weighing in at 13.4pds

Pirelli P7000Z
I weighed a rim + tire on my bathroom scale.
I can post a pic if you don't believe me.

Bathroom scales are incredibly innacurate, particularly for smaller weigths. I weighed my 16" MF-10s with 225/45/16 PZeros (also on a bathroom scale) and got about 33lbs. I doubt either of our figures are accurate but 14 lbs seems very light for that sized tyre.

I questioned this myself. But I weigh the same on my scale at home and the more accurate physician's scale at my gym (220). I weigh 246 if I hold the rim in my hand and the rim/tire itself weighs 26 lbs.
How did you weigh it?
