JDM Front total cost

Re: (ek4shizzle)
Brand new kit goes for around 3500 with the lip. A used kit goes for around 2500+. Labor gonna cost at a good body shop. Dont half *** it with the shop choice. You can get a sweet kit but if the installs shitty then whats the point. Be prepared to spend around 3k for the install. Im not saying its gonna be that much but, better safe than sorry. If you can afford it then dont get it done. I dont think JDM front are played out. There very clean looking as are the USDM. Id take either. Its still an R.

Or... spend the 4k on several track events and REALLY get faster.
Fast cars do not equal fast drivers.

to stay on subject instead of telling this guy where to spend his money, my HID front end(complete) cost me $2100, had my buddy weld the support($19.75 24 pack of beer ), paint cost me about $1200 blended. after the support was welded, i fitted all the parts on myself, so my grand total was $3300

pieced together my front for just under 1k$ and had a shop weld the radiator support for 200$. so it cost me 1200$ to have a jdm itr non-hid front on and rolling. havnt painted it yet tho

Well thanks for all the responses. This gives me a great idea of how much it'll likely cost.
I'd try doing the install myself, but I am completely unequipped in terms of tools, and can't afford tools on top of everything else I'm trying to afford. And I have no place to work on the car... Plus knowing my luck I'll either get stuck or mess up somewhere, and then I have no car to drive.
Also, there are very very few R's in my city. There are only 2 other PYs, and then a couple white ones and black ones. None of the ITRS have JDM fronts. Between what my car already has (fully built), and a JDM front, it would be the cleanest teggy in town. And I drive it so little that theft is not the biggest threat. It's hidden away 6/7 days a week.
One thing is for sure. When I do it, i'm going all the way. I'm so used to HID projectors from my S that I can't cope with anything else.
