And that thinking is precisely why the west coast events don't get filled.
I love my "R" brethren, but having been to a few, there are always plenty there, as well as other makes and users to go around. Trying to give preferential treatment only gets things canceled because its the NUMBERS that keep the costs down, and the events opened.

Re: Itr expo 15 - Gingerman
haha mac beat me too it.
Excatly, as if calling it the name of the event "itrexpo" is not enough to help boost your moral, motivation or car ownership ego.
no but seriously, the "itr members only" mentality had it's chance. Worked for a while but not sustaible. They are a declining species.
ITR owners are not imune to moving on to other high caliber cars (bwm, corvetts) or try their skills on other platforms (fwd, awd), or just plain leave the scene. There are only few ITR owners left who are either diehard collector and or diehard itr track addicts. Seriously impressed/full respect at how many of them have kept their itr for years.... vision, loyalty, commitment to their car is often over looked and undervalued unlike most in the scene who brag about going through ownership for +15 modifed hondas they owned and all of them average at best if not close to clunkers.
bottom line is... bring what you got... itr or not.
and if it's an ITR, I'll cheer & take pictures for you when your taking your stroll on the traditional ITR parade photo lap. = )
Anyways... back on topic...

Exactly no one cares what you bring. This will be my 7th expo and I have never seen or heard about a type R owner getting treated any better then anyone else. It's first come first serve. If you pay you have a spot secured. If it's full pay for a guest spot and come hang out.

ITR Expo has never been "ITR Only." Expo 1 had a batch of makes/models. I have heard first hand of some locals being "ITR snobs" but rest assured those individuals didn't stick around. The event has been community run and community focused since. ie = good times.

I've been to a few of the Expos, and the only "crowd" mentality has been the whole-hearted support of anything on four wheels. It's just a great community of enthusiasts, which just happens to have an abnormally high proportion of Type-R owners.
Cannot wait to attend this year's (if only for a day, wah-WAAAH). Never too late to start praying and making sacrifices to the weather gods, folks.

PS- I wholly agree with the sentiments above.

Dug up some extra raffle goodies going through our Garage Sale too. Gonna be a good time. Might even convince Jim to come out for the day too.
