Default ITR #32 wont start

This morning my car started fine and then in the afternoon is wouldnt start at all. I feel its the starter. I cleaned all the terminals checked the connections and charged the battery. When I turn the key it has full power and just makes a clicking noise. If any can help me confirm or send me in the right direction it would be appretiated.

Do you have access to a spare B series dizzy? You could try the ignitor, cap and/or coil and see if that resolves your problem and then get the part. If it's the starter making the clicking, try having a friend turn the key over, and lightly tap on the starter with a hammer or screw driver and see if it turns over. Lastly, but doubtful because of the clicking is the main relay. It's under the drivers side dash.

I had that problem too. Hopefully it doesn't do that again this summer cuz I don't like that clicking at all.

Get a buddy and tap on the starter motor while you have the ignition in the start
position...sometimes it will engage. if not take starter out and apply battery voltage to it directly and see if it engages.

Youre not supposed to hit starters anymore, cletus. Your starter could be fried. If it has excess resisitance built up inside it, it will do this. Putting in more battery volatage (jumping) can lead to overheating of something you dont want overheated. Also, check the ground going from your trans to the chassis. The big grounding strap. A telltale sign that this is loose is when you go to start the car, your gauges (speedo, tach, coolant, etc) will jump around as they are a viable path to ground. Both situations have happened to me before. I know it sucks, but try to put in a different starter...maybe from your buddy's B series and see if it works out. It should.

Obviously you would sit there with your thumb up your **** in the middle of no where than tap on the starter. I said tap not hammer and why not try it? If its screwed up its screwed up and needs a new starter anyways.
I've seen starter contacts go in them...you can't buy it from honda, but a toyota one will fit in directly, which you can buy from the dealership.
