How to w/ Pics: C&R radiator install w/ Samco hoses
Well......I know I have another thread talking about my problems with the fan, but this thread is just to show the steps I went through so others can see what the outcome was.
Thanks Marc (BlueR) for the killer deal on the hoses!!
1) Pop the hood, unhook battery and take the bumper off
Oh my! C-West goodness!!!
2) Take a final look at the crapper radiator Make sure car is cold!!!
3) Unhook the plug on that A/C fan and remove coolant reservoir and empty it.
4) Unhook the radiator fan. In this pic u can see the plug at the bottom right with one blue wire and one black one. I cut that plug off with about 6 inches of wire on both wires and soldered it to the new radiator fan so I could just plug it in.
On the left is the wiring harness that I unplugged off the stock radiator.
5) Drain the radiator from the bottom bleeder with the radiator cap off.....wait for it to all come out took like 5 minutes. Then shake both of the radiator hoses until all the coolant in the hoses comes out of the bleeder. Sorry no pics of this step I was getting a drink.
6) Unplug both of those nasty old radiator hoses. I pulled back the clamps with pliers and then made a slit in the hose ends with a blade for ease of removal. There is nothing easy about the upper radiator hose. The placement and angle of the clamp makes it very difficult to remove the clamp because your tools will be fighting everything in the engine bay from the dizzy to the intake hose. Got that little bastard off though and it felt good to cut it
7) Remove the radiator stays with a 10mm wrench and yank that crappy radiator out of its place. Actually be gentle so you don't screw things up and make sure everything is disconnected first. Don't forget to grab the two rubber bottom radiator mounts and put them back in their hole on the radiator support.
8) Put the new bling blaow radiator in and connect the new hoses to the block and make sure the hoses are as far in as they can go and clamp them correctly. Putting them in is easier than taking em off. Best way to get em in is to dip your fingers in the new Honda Type-II premixed coolant (with a glove on) and then lubricate the inside of the hoses on both ends. Makes them slide on much easier.
9) Put the radiator stays back on and connect the hoses to the radiator and clamp em.
10) Almost there....pour coolant into the reservoir until it hits MAX. Connect the reservoir to the new radiator.
11) Fill the radiator up until it reaches the base of the neck. Then bleed a little coolant from the bottom of the new radiator. I did it for like 4 seconds. In this pic you can see my jug of Honda Type-II...it comes premixed and is pretty cheap. It's the only thing I use in my radiator.
12) Reinstall the bumper
13) With the radiator cap off start the car and let it idle
14) Wait until the fan comes on at least twice and watch for bubbles at the neck of the radiator. In my particular case my fan didn't come on for some reason. I still need to try it out tomorrow. The bubbles is the cooling system "burping" and is meant to get all of the air out of the system.
15) Turn the car off and top off the radiator and cap tightly. Congrats you are done and hopefully your fan came on unlike mine
Hope this was helpful. Alot of the other posts were incomplete and didn't have pictures.

do you have the climate control on the hot side or the heat on? could be why the fan didnt come on. you DEFINITELY want the fan to come on while bleeding. Right before the fan switches on you will see bubbles and the coolant level will fall. I usually just add more coolant when it falls and then repeat the process. Once the fan stops the second time, make sure the radiator and reservior are topped off.

Re: (walker111)
Thats the thing. My heater hasn't worked since I got my car back. I don't get any air coming through the vents not even normal unheated uncooled air......but I will slide it over anyways and see what happens.
Another thing is that even though the fan didnt come on the radiator sucked in coolant more than once. It gulped it to be exact like flushing a toilet almost. Just sucked the stuff right in.....thats also confusing me. Didnt see any bubles but it sucked it in.

Where did you get the front end? I'm restoring a theft recovery ITR and I need the entire front end. (bumper, hood, fenders, radiator support, bumber support). Did you remove the bumper support for your car? looks like you only have the radiator support.

I am running the jdm bumper support as you can see in the pics. JDM front ends can be had everywhere....might as well find it on east coast as shipping from where i am at would be alot.

Re: (R you serious)
Did you ever get your fan working? I just recently did a thermo on my car and the wouldnt kick on, I held the throttle at 2k and it kicked on within 30 seconds...

I am using Spal slimfan
No its still not working. Got other things to do.
And I took off the bumper because my lip hangs so low that I could get to the bleeder on the stock radiator.
If I was stock height and stock lip then I could have, but if you see my bumper there it is huge and I couldnt reach it.
And btw I held the car down at 2500 for about 10 minutes and nothing.......
