I need to find that sweet spot to pull it out i guess, is it near where the O2 sensor and underneath the oil filter?

Re: How to take the alternator out???
I didn't even do 7 and 8, but the alternator is out of the bracket already, just have to wiggle it out and now is free.
But you have to get the alternator OUT of the CAR, it is still stuck in that area now.
Can you also post the "Adjust belt tension" procedure?

This probably won't help you, but it might be worth mentioning. I have taken the bottom alt. bracket off along with the drivers side axle on a b18c5 swapped crx to remove the alt. You may consider something along those lines.

Re: How to take the alternator out???
I heard if you take a pry bar and use it to push the engine forward, then your axle should fall out from the bottom. This is w/ stock mounts of course.
On my 87 CRX the best method was removing the brake MC and moving it to the side and you could bring it out from the top.
Just options. The first one wont hurt your engine as long as the pry bar sits properly

Yup prying between the subframe and tranny mount i think, then alternator will drop out. But yah i ran out of time and put everything back together yesterday, gonna take it to a shop on Tuesday.

Re: How to take the alternator out???
You need to remove the drivers side axle and go about removing/installing it through there. It will not fit out the top. I recently went through the same thing and found out the hard way. On an EK you can squeeze it in/out the top if you remove some minor things, but I wasn't able to on my ITR.
