Default Help...plan to service my R

I am nearing 90K miles on my ITR and plan to have it serviced. I was wondering if anybody could help me out and let me know what is all needed (parts wise). These are the things I am having done to my car.

1. Adjust alternator belt
2. Water pump
3. Timing belt/tensioner
4. Valve cover gasket
5. Spark plugs
6. Wires
7. Dist. cap/rotor
8. Cam seals
9. Fr crank seal
10. Drive belts
11. VC gasket set
12. Valve adjustment
13. Brake fluid flush
14. Coolant flush
15. MTF
16. fuel filter
17. set ignition timing/adjust cambelt
18. adjust parking brake

I know most of them are just adjusting and don't need actual parts, but for the ones that do require parts, what is all needed? I am trying to get a list to order the parts online rather than the dealership to save money. Any info is appreciated. Thanks so much.

Good list so far... you might add Thermostat to it, and PCV valve as they are cheap.

OffT: if it's possible, have them do it all in one day (you drive there, they do the work, you come back later to pick it up) because i personally wouldnt trust any dealership mechanics to work on our R cuz im pretty sure (80%) that theyre gunna joy ride it. but that's just me.

oxygen sensor, distributor o-ring, shifter bushings, and whatever else you feel necessary from the owner's/Helms manuals. Most of that stuff can be done at home with the specialty tools coming free from Autozone (eg timing light).

Here are a few extra little things that I did @ 90k miles to freshen the car up a lot and makes it feel like a brand new car that just rolled off the dealership lot.

1. New seals around all the corner lenses as moisture was getting into a couple of them.
2. New OEM floor mats and OEM shift **** (I have the red stitch one)
3. New tabs to fix rattling window on passenger side (rattled when shutting car door with window down)
4. New weatherstripping
5. New tires. In my case Bridgestone Potenza RE11's.
6. New green gel battery because my old one froze over winter in storage after my alarm drained it. Yes, I know. I should have unhooked the battery but the car was stored rather hastily.

Next year when it comes out of storage it's going to get a complete OEM bushing treatment and OEM suspension check over / tune up.

Do you have any moisture in your rear tail lights? Those gaskets have gone in a lot of integras I see.

Check your grounds for rust or dirt. Just something you can do yourself with a wire brush or sandpaper to clean them up. Actually makes a difference!

02 sensor you can get a genuine NGK/NTK or Denso for much cheaper than OEM. Spark plugs, same thing. Get your NGK plugs at local auto store. No reason to buy OEM there either.

Forgot to add the air filter also, don't forget that. I am sure there might be one or two things I am forgetting, but this list gets you started.

I highly recommend ordering from Park Acura/Park Honda. The service guy there (Seth) is extremely nice and very helpful and has competitive prices and cheap shipping and no "service charges".

I strongly recommend replacing your cooling system hoses at the same time - the two large ones (upper and lower) at a minimum, and maybe all the little ones as well. They probably need it and this is good preventive maintenance. Plus you're already flushing the fluid and creating better access to them when you replace the water pump.

Part numbers:
19501-P73-010 HOSE, WATER (UPPER)
19502-P72-000 HOSE, WATER (LOWER)

You can find dealers with great discounts on parts ordered over the internet in this topic.

I did a full tune up on my GSR motor and dealer cost for all parts was about $350 to give you an idea. I can honestly say it runs alot smoother then my ITR motor which I havent touched besides doing an oil change.

Don't really see a need to go to the dealer for every part. I've used aftermarket distributors, rotors, wires, fuel filters etc for a while with no problems.

The majour stuff I would stick with a dealer...water pump, timing belt, etc...

irev210...

are alot of those parts even necessary? parts such as the seals (11925-p30-000, 11926-pr3-000, 11832-972-000, 11831-p72-a00) Also the washers, plugs, bolts, and insulators (90017-pr3-003, 30135-p73-004, 50841-st7-z00, 50842-st7-z00, 94109-20000, 94109-14000, 90009-ph1-000). Lastly, there were alot of part numbers that did not show up when i searched for them (08718-0004, 08798-9013, 08206-9002A, 08798-9031A, 4100-0002, 08734-0010, 08700-9204A, 08700-9206A, OL999-9011A, 08798-9025A. Is there anyway you could briefly describe or identify these parts? Thanks so much. I really appreciate it.

OP, if you don't mind aftermarket hoses, I think BlueR has a set of black Samco hoses available. You might pm him and ask.

I'm thinking I might as well go with OEM, since I plan get majority of my parts through a dealership. But has anyone heard anything about Denso O2 sensors? They are on sale and pretty cheap at sparkplugs.com right now. I've read briefly that they are pretty much OEM, is taht right? http://www.sparkplugs.com/results_app.asp. I will be needing the front and rear, is that correct? And should I be going with the super or regular class? Thanks for all the info people!!

samco is a superior hose to oem, also costs more

denso i thought was the oem o2?

denso/ngk anything is a win with these cars

op, 4 and 11 are the same thing

don;t have much to add, everyone covered it all.

plug wise the ngk iridium 7s are your best bet for a long service life

With the denso o2 sensors should I be going with the super (identical) or regular class (universal)? Is there really that much of a difference. The difference between each set is about $70 on sparkplugs.com. They have a big sale on the super (identical) set which is why I'm asking.

universal means you make your own plug. direct is plug and play. the ngk sensor is around $50 on ebay. the primary o2 should be cheap, its the after cat that's spendy
