Re: Greatest H.T./ R Quotes
Real info, at the cost of even dumber members, stupid rules and an even less specific forum. T-I is terrible if you are an R owner since there's nothing specific for ITRs.

Re: Greatest H.T./ R Quotes
their rules is what makes TI so much better. no people repeating the same damn post over and over agian. search engine is actually useful, and if this meaningless post would've showed up it would have been locked after the 3rd post. TI has been very helpful for me. i dont understand why you think its terrible for an ITR owner. to each his own i guess.

It's because we're old. I remember going to the Acura showroom to see a 1994 and I thought omg if only I could afford this car. I was 18 at the time. Kids these days can pick up a beater of an Integra and or a Civic for like $500

Re: Greatest H.T./ R Quotes
TI is great for general information, but it's controlled by over-zealous, power hungry mods who whip out the ban stick for any non conformist thought. You have no voice there, you either do what they say or leave. TI is a horrible forum and I'd never go back.

Re: Greatest H.T./ R Quotes
For starting the post. Yes. I am sure I deserve the flame.
As for my time on the HT. I am not a noob. My old name was hacked, pyramid scam posted, and blocked.
I thought It would be funny to reflect on what was. Guess Not. Anyone whom agrees I guess falls under the exact catagory most are talking about on this thread.
I remember seeing the first ITR his the showroom in 97'. Dreaming sense.
Too bad you can not post on HT with out criticism. Why post and waste the carpel tunnel if all you are going to do is complain.

Re: Greatest H.T./ R Quotes
ya, Ive been on ht for awhile now and the itr forum has gone way down hill. too many noobs with dumb *** noob questions. most of this new generation of tuners seem clueless about many basic things or things that are all over the search forum. itr forum isnt that cool anymore, and I only come here for the itr forum. where did the og's go, any other site out there?
I dont own any Hondas anymore, but roll in here every once in a while and get turned off and leave cuz I dont see any old heads in here anymore.

Re: Greatest H.T./ R Quotes
one of the problems is that our cars are older now, very simple pretty much everything has been covered, you cant say search anymore because this site sucks now. I rarely look at it myself
I still have my R, rarely need help, I recently purchased a TSX and this forum sucks for any info for that car.

Seldom do I pass judgment on people because of their join date or their post count. But before you go and toot your own horn, you may want to look in the mirror.

Re: Greatest H.T./ R Quotes
guys....all old car forums repeat the same question. the best example i can think of is on corvetteforum.com
since you can buy a 1990 vette for like 4-5k now a days lots of guys who wanna try and hot rod are doing so. what exhaust should i buy and what headers come up like all the time. then, just like on HT some of the guys with cash and a little time learn the car and actually make it fast. on HT, the lower class found with the ignorant punk kids who can't even spell their name. on CF it's the rednecks who think their 1984 - 15 second wonder car is perfect. the older zr1 guys have the same exclusive attitude as the ITR guys, and for a similar reason: rarity and owning one. every forum has its issues. HT is more rude than most places to noobs and to repeat questions though

What's the greatest sin, that the place is full of noobs or that the people who allege to know everything aren't guiding them?

Re: Greatest H.T./ R Quotes
In the Spring of 1998 I traded in my 1992 Si commuter car for a 1998 GS-R.
The staff at the dealership tried like hell to sell me a white Type R that they hadn't been able to unload, but I didn't understand it at the time. It didn't even have AC and it was about the same price as the GS-R, and I just wanted a car for daily driving.
They tried like hell, too, offering a very good deal on the Type R.
I only owned the GS-R from March 1998 - December 1999 because I researched what a "Type R" was and decided in the end that it would make a neater commuter car than the GS-R. So in December of 1999 I drove from Richmond VA to Atlanta GA and bought one of the first black 2000 Type R's.
That Type R was my commuter car for a few years, daily driver, never had the first issue w/any thefts or vandalism even after moving to the DC area.
Still own that car.
But it's hardly stock or streetable any more.
I think that a lot of "OG" are still out there, but they've talked and developed themselves into a comfort zone, and they're not doing any more developing or active forum participation. They're just where they need to be with their developments.
Other "OG" got caught up in the Mike v Dustin scandal, or the IB purchase, or changing forum rules...but most of them are here and just not doing much building and talking any more.

Re: Greatest H.T./ R Quotes
Guiding = valid flamming that is completely ignored by younger members who can now afford an R who want to do nothing but put bling parts on it and go "roll around town". I grew up with that crap and the OGs helped bring me to light. No matter what we try and say now, there end result is "it is his car, who gives a **** what he does with it". When "we" don't agree with that, and the guidance we try and provide is ignored, what is one to do?
