You're only sacrificing service, but what ever gets you on the road. Ideally, you won't have to use them for any claims.

Re: A GREAT INSURANCE COMAPNY!!!!!!!!!! (gsr-2nr)
They wouldn't cover me due to my record but I was with progressive, and when I bought my Type R they wanted 3669 for 6 months, so I ended up switching to Bristol West and I"m only paying 1800 for 6 months. I due have some points and had my license revoked twice but I haven't had a ticket in two year so my points are on the decline....

At 25 your rates go substantially down, so for the past 5 years you've been in the "cheap" category for insurance. Even cheaper if you're married.
Tweak - who's on Geico as well

like the commerical says
a 15 minute call can save you 15% or more on your insurance
seems like that 15 min call saved you about 75% off your insurance.
thats just insane.
too bad geico went away from new jersey.
i heard they are coming back tho.
nice job.

if you hit someone but it's not your fault they will fix your car too, as long as it's not your fault you will have it cover by another party's insurance !! you dont need to get full coverage for thieft, it's an optional you can have 3rd party insurance and add theft, so if yours get stolen they will pay for it too, but anyway insurance pay **** for it

Re: A GREAT INSURANCE COMAPNY!!!!!!!!!! (GettaluvR)
I didn't read all the responses so please ignore this if I am repeating already stated information.
If you have a clean/good driving record many times you are better off going with a insurance company like Allstae or State Farm, etc.
Companies like Geico or Progressive are usully tailored to drivers with not so perfect driving records and while they will have lower premiums for those kinds of drivers, for good drivers they may charge more than what the other big insurance companies would.
As I am sure many have said, shop around. That's the only way to get the best deal.
I found that staying with Allstate was my cheapest option ($817 / 6 months). Keep in mind I am still on my parents policy. This is with max. coverage, rental coverage, glass, $0 comprehensive deductible, and $1000 collision deductible.

Man, you guys have it tough. State Farm fully covers my Civic and ITR (including the cost of their mods) for $1520.00 per year.
I guess old age and living in Ft. Worth, Texas are good for something!

I guess nobody remembers Geico buying all the police departments radar and laser guns. I jst won't do business with a company that supplies items like that so they can catch people and raise their rates.

Full coverage usually includes:
Liability - to protect you in case your car causes damage to other people and property
Collision - to protect the value of your car in case it is in an accident
Comprehensive - to protect the value of your car from other losses, such as theft, fire, vandalism, etc
There are some other coverages you can get (e.g. to pay for a rental car while yours is being fixed) but these three are usually considered the main components of full coverage.
Also note that you can pay more or less depending on what dollar limits you choose for your liability coverage and for your deductibles.
</TD></TR></TABLE>
Don't forget Uninsured/Underinsured motorist coverage, as well as Personal Injury coverage.
Full coverage also protects against things such as hail damage and whatnot. At least it did with my cars.
