ECU for 00 Type R w/Spec B's
Ok, I have a new question - I have been recomended to a number of different people for an ECU. I want to have the ECU done with the cams (TODA B's). What are you're opinions on where to get the ECU done? Thanks very much!

Talk to Cheetah...aka Greg Samaroo, he's fairly local to you and he's got a couple killer programs for B's.

I thought the Hondata was more for Dragracing/off-road type stuff - this is a daily driver, still good for the street? Thanks

preprogrammed ecus can only come so close. Hondata or any other standalone
management can hit the nail on the head presuming that the tuner is worth his
weight.

pretty much, not saying that you can't gain hp with chipped ecu's, but since every motor is differnt and could respond differently to same mods, its a good idea to custom tune it. I'll put it this way, you can't extract most from the car from one dyno run, how are you going to get the most with chipped ecu?
You could get vafc along with with a good chipped ecu, just keep in mind vafc doesn't control everything. A more complete system, such as hondata, can control timing, raise redline, run larger injectors and bunch of other features. AEM seems to have some good features, but as I said before, a system is only good as its tuner, so find a good tuner first..
