Either will handle fine on the right tires. I'm sure the LSD doesnt hurt, but you dont need it.

It depends entirely upon what tires each car is equipped with. The stock RE010's found on the ITR are dreadful in the snow.

Park the R for the winter...I know some people are against that and will say it's just a car, but it's an expensive car to fix as well...

As mentioned though, get good tires and either will go well.

I've driven both cars before in the snow and there is no real difference. The best thing you can do is get snow tires!!

I slid 15 feet at a stop sign braking from a ~10mph roll on the RE010's... Who knew there was such think as a flash snow storm...

shouldn't have left my dog sled at home that day...

I've owned and driven several of both models in the snow.

If you can't afford a beater, get good snow tires and drive safely.

If you can afford a beater, this is the way to go.

Technically I would think the LS would be better, simply because in general you want to run softer suspension for wet/ice/snow conditions.

Not to mention a car with rotation in the snow can be scary in some situations.

However I can't say I know how much the LSD would help assuming you have the right tires and are not going unsafe speeds. It might be more benifical than the softer springs/shocks/sways.

if you hunt you can get a beater for about the price of a set of snow tires. My last winter beater was a $450 beat to **** blazer that cost $450. $60 for the belt when it shredded off in the fan then sold it to a friend for $150 and we beat the crap out of it and enjoyed it until the brakes died.

In the end it only cost $360 and I even saved some insurance money since I took of most of it for the Integra during the winter. Then added liability only on the blazer.

The higher ride height of the LS will help a bit. But seriously, they're going to be the same.

My ITR is my winter beater.

I'm not sure if LSD helps or not... manual doesn't really help either in my opinion.. engine braking coming up to a turn and just understeering right through isn't fun. *shrug* I don't know, I really look forward to driving in the snow anyway

Im I the only one that sees that you own both these cars your asking about? Why not find out for your self but I really dont think either one would be better for driving in the snow than the other.

I second that !
I do have set of snow winter package from my previous R bought thru Tirerack
but now sat in my garage for last 5yrs. The 97R did handle very well with winter snow package but now,
God bless to my beater!

That makes no sense to me....if it's too nice to store, wouldn't it be too nice to get all salty and shitty from the winter? Winter is so harsh on a car....salt sucks....store it for three months, that's all.

Not completely true if the right measures are taken IMO. If you take care of your paint the way it should be taken care of and you make sure you respray the undercoating in your wheel wells as it comes off, I honestly don't think that winter driving really makes much of a difference, (of course it gives a little wear and tear, but in the end its an integra). I see guys drive Porsche C4S's, Carreras, and boxters in the snow all the time around here, whats wrong with driving an integra.

Anyway, my 0.02 cents.

Same here drive the car if you don't want to invest in a beater. Make sure you lay down some good wax on the lower bottom half of the car. I always make sure to rinse the underbody and wheel wells after a crazy storm.

TIP: Inside the rear wheelwell by the screw that connects the rear bumper I insert some silly putty in there to smoothen out the little ledge to prevent any buildup from the road salt/mud/ etc etc.

Peace
