Does this ITR look like a good buy for such low miles?

It's a salvage title, but that front end damage doesn't look too horrid, and the conversion looks pretty clean.
Thoughts?
I'm in the market for a stock ITR for between $10 and $12K
Thanks for helping out a newbie like me!

Been for sale for a while. I have not heard anything good about that dealer at all. Hack and duct tape is what I have heard from many sources in South FL.

I said I don't want a title!

I guess an airbox is optional and/or it makes more power inhaling straight into the throttle body!

There's nothing appealing about that car. It's closer to being a GS-R than a Type R with all the incorrect parts used.

Yeah, the car might be an ok project for $6-7K or so, but anymore than that and it is absolutely not worth it.
I'd rather have a stock ~120K mile ITR as those can be found in that pricerange ($10K-$12K)

agree with todd (which is rare)
that's a 6k car that's not worth anymore than a gsr, #1 it's salvage, #2 it was probably salvaged due to being stripped which is better than a wreck but it's still not worth ITR value. the owner cheaped out on most everything. if you get an ITR salvage at least use jdm itr parts to rebuild it so you have a real type r and not some gsr hybrid
lastly you have no idea what mileage is on the car since the drivetrain was stolen. you MIGHT have 65k on the body, or you may have a cluster swap on a 200k mile shell

Thanks for the save everyone! As soon as I saw the GSR motor, I pitched it faster than a Nolan Ryan ripper.

Yea I def wouldnt do it. Take if from someone who once thought a buying salvaged titled ITR was a "good" idea. Id rather take my chances on a high mileage clean titled 98.

Found one in Orlando Fl if you're still interested. It's at an auto auction atm. Damage is it was stripped but motor looks all intact.

give buddy keys to the car, go to the movies with a new pof girl, come out, panic and throw a fit when you realize your car is stolen. girl is a perfect witness
meanwhile buddy takes seats and panels from said car and leaves it in the boonies
you get a check and he gets a nice pair of seats and whatever else he feels like unbolting
