Does the ITR come stock with a fender brace like this? UPDATED
I installed this fender brace (aftermarket from japan) on my civic a few months ago but noticed an ITR at the junkyard today had a similar looking bar except it looked like it came stock from the factory.
If it does come stock on the ITR, it should fit onto civics too I'd think.
Any input?
mine:
I'll take a pic of the ITR one as soon as I go back there again.

How did the company that made that bar come to the conclusion that those were flex points? Or did they just see two bolts sticking out and decide to make money making a bar to connect them together and saying it was from Japan?

i was always under the impression that in a FWD car, you want it to be loose in the front and tight in the rear. trying to get rid of understeer is the key. with this in mind, why do people try to make the front so damn stiff?

There have been posts in the past in regards to how useful this bar is.
I'm going to the wrecker again in a few days and will take pictures of the bar.
Dr. Pooface, have you actually scene an ITR with out the fender to say it doesn't have the bar there?

No, but never once have I heard mention of such bar. I am sure I would of on this board while people describe the differences between the ITR and a GSR or RS.

Well I didn't pull it off yet, but I took pictures of it today.
Where do you guys think it came from? JDM ITR maybe?

You want the body to be stiff as possible so that the suspension is what moves and suspension action is consistant. My comment has nothing to do with the effects, if any, of that bar.

Re: (JDM nerbie)
I don't recall seeing that under there...it may be some kind of Canadian safety modification...I'd have to doublecheck.
While it may not do much, every little bit helps when it comes to chasis stiffness...especially on the DC2 which isn't all that stiff in my opinion (atleast compared to the latest offerings).

Is this for ALL ITR's? JDM, CDM, USDM, UKDM, etc?
There are differences between them all. Including the bracing under the rear seats (which we know was introduced in US integras in the later '90's). I don't believe the UKDM have these.

It's directly from Autopedia so I'm guessing Just the USDM's.

I should?
The Picture has been posted before and this discussion has been had multiple times. Sorry if my point wasn't crystal enough. I'm just trying to be helpful and thought that since this PIC wasn't here that some people could benefit from it since it clearly doesn't show the brace you are referring to and I don't remember the Canadian cars having or advertised to be having any more bracing. Of course I could be wrong.
I don't have a definitive answer about that bar but, wonder about your apparent hostility?

I picked up the same feeling from your post that it has been covered time and time again, making me feel like I have asked a stupid question.
But I am sure it was a miss-communication.
Thanks for the pic. At least that shows that the stock ITR doesn't come with this bar.
