Default Differences in JDM ITR ecu's? p73-003, 013, 023

Trying to reach a conclusion, is there any difference between the p73-003, 013 and 023. Ive concluded the 003 is for 96-97 spec, 013 is for 98-99 spec and 023 is for 00-01 spec and they are all obd2a. Im assuming they are different to some extent, because the engines themselves changed slightly over the years, but after an hour of searching, cannot figure out what the differences are if any.

Well since the 01 ITR has a CTR intake cam maybe there are some differences to ignition timing?

Changes to 98+ JDM models, engine wise were 4in1 manifold tubular style (before was cast 4-2-1 style) taller 4th and 5th gears and 4.7 final drive (before was 4.4) and inlet camshaft changed to B16B CTR spec which was about 3 degrees more duration. Some say that the change in camshafts happened in 98+ and others say it happened in 00. The matter had been discussed several times on here..

you can run any of the motors on any of the ecu's

there may be extremely minor changes to timing and AF because of the exhaust and cam changes but they are all so close you would be hard pressed to realize it

i tried an 003 and 013 with a wideband going on a 97 R engine and the AF was identical at idle and driving around.

That wasn't really my question. I know the differences between the engines through various years, I'm asking about if the ecu changed at all throughout those years because of the changes to the engines.
