Bump your budget up to 35k and it'll open up a world of options as far as an M3 is concerned.

it's no wonder that you never see Corvettes in any other country besides America, after being able to give one a close scrutiny at this summers motorshow, they look like me to have been fabricated and assembled by blind people.
NSX for me I think out of those

Just out of curiousity how was your NSX selected to be the one featured for this article?</TD></TR></TABLE>
I heard Ken owns 42% of C&D's stocks.

Why not, what if you're looking for a 25k weekend car? Its smarter than spending 40-50k but will give you way more bang for the buck than a 25k sports compact or muscle car.
I might have to pick up that issue, its basically we **** constantly talk about in GDD with stats and driving tests to back it up.

Congrats Ken. Thanks for making it to Expo before running off to Gingerman, your knowledge is a huge benefit to us all.

Re: Congratulations to nsxtasy! (Big Phat R)
I just got back from instructing Putnam Park (300+ track miles in stifling heat/humidity) and noticed this topic before I got a chance to post my technical question.
Thanks for all the kind words.
I'm rather pleased with the way the article came out.
Yes, some of the cars were a bit of a stretch at $25K. You can buy an NSX for that, but it's likely to need maintenance, have high miles, etc. For low thirties you can buy a very nice one, though.

It looks as though you were in the passenger seat. If that's the case, who was driving your NSX? </TD></TR></TABLE>
The way developing the article worked, each editor would drive the car for maybe 5 miles on public roads near Gingerman, then take it for 2-4 laps on the track, then write down comments in the notebook in the car. They left it up to the owners whether to ride along as a passenger. I did, with each of the half dozen editors.

One of their editors posted on NSXprime (the biggest NSX internet forum site) looking for a fairly stock early NSX whose owner could have the car for the day at GingerMan, which is less than two hours from Chicago. As you can see, it worked out for me, and I was able to do that as well as instructing the first day at Expo 8.
