Woot!
Thanks Bro I missed the Auto-x on the new site today. Sadly, I'll be missing tomorrow's event too. Friggin' School. Why the hell do I want a Master's Degree.
Anyway, in case anyone is interested, Lincoln Nebraska is being considered for the Nationals site for Auto-X next year as the Air park is interested in letting SCCA use 36 acres of CONCRETE for nationals
This weekend, they have a 2 day auto-x event for the locals to try it out and I'm missing it to get a ton of **** done around the house and study Structural Dynamics
I hope you are getting out there Shawn.

Congrats Parker! Thats awesome. You've been rolling Type R's all season . Its been fun. I should invest in some race rubber for D-stock, but I gotta burn up my current tires first. Next year could be interesting with all of the BMW 135i's starting to show up

yea the 135 is gonna be pretty competitive for sure. as far as race rubber goes... i've been thinking about it, especially since a handful of the people in my class run r comps i'm just poor.

I was wondering where you were at. That course was incredible. Short of going to the roadcourse AutoX that was the single best AutoX site and course I have ever been too. You are familiar with how much grip as at our normal site. Where we where at looked like nobody ever drives on it (turns out the military does testing on their C130 engines there) it was 3 fold grippier than normal. I saw a few people stumble while walking as their rubber soles would hook on it. It was so sandpapery that my tires showed evidence of tread squirm like I had just done a session at MAM. I saw other peoples tires chunking. It was awesome. Hopefully the SCCA notices and brings nationals there. I think I would actually take the car back to stock just to run it again and be competitive.
Not sure yet. I'm gonna see what Jan does first. If he goes to BSP then I am going to DSP but if he stays then I am gonna stay too. I am determined to win that class at all costs.

They are already here. There where 2 of them out there today. David the picture taker and another one. They are going to be a handful for sure.

ive been very seriously contemplating it. i feel like most weekends i push the RT615s as far as they're gonna go. running DSP on street tires is sort of foolish, although there is something very rewarding about beating rcomp drivers on the 615s.
its just a matter of money really at this point. and deciding if i'm going to buy another set of wheels. sort of out of control.

Re: Congratulations to Larkin W. (verticle)
^^ I agree. You might as well.
I forgot too mention earlier. You know how there are all those military planes there? During the 2nd heat we had 2 F16 fighters do a very low fly by on us. The ground was shaking, it was loud and I could read all the markings on them and I am blind as a bat. But the best part, the pilot closes to us dips his wing 90 degrees so we could see him in the cockpit as he flew by. As soon as they fly by the plane close to us rights itself and they do a huge 360 a land on that runway closes to us and they jety right passed us. It was too cool. Our hard tax dollars at work. I'm pretty sure David got some pics of them.

wow excellent!!! great news and congratulations!
despite our cars being ~11 years old...it's great to see so many owners still using the cars to the limit and for their very purpose!
