It would be hard since the quater panel goes up the C pillar and all the way up to the back of the front door. Im also going to assume its a structual piece, and would be very difficult and/or costly to do right. Anyone else have an opinion in this??

Pretty much what i said above, except for the fiberglass thing. That would suck, it would be heavy as **** and not stiff. Now a carbon monocoque(sp) on the other hand....

You might wanna check with Fiber Images, since they make CF quarter pannels for the civics? I've seen them sale for as high as $800 for the pair but as low as $500 for a pair out here on the eastcoast.

good luck

There are 4 fenders on the car, same goes for quarter panels. He has already described them as the front ones, so we all know what he means/ meant.

last fall when I got in a fender bender, I asked Fiber Images for CF teg fenders (front fenders) and they said there is not enough demand for them plus they offer no noticable weight savings over stock.
oh well, maybe there is a JDM company making them, but that will be even more $$$.

Fiber Images does make EK cf fenders at $900 a pair

haha... how can you say that the hatch was ugly... if you saw it in person, you would want the fenders on your R as well...

here was a updated pic of the car after the photo shoot last summer...

BTW... that is also a CF valve cover...

I'm not a real big fan of the CF fenders, but which ever way your tea bag floats I guess.

Not a big fan, and the weight savings can't be worth the high price tag

front quarter pannels = front fenders
at least that's what my local Honda dealer calls them, but beleive me... they don't know a bunch about hondas

But like it was said above... we know what the guy (original poster) was talking about.

There isnt 4 fenders on a car. There are fenders and there are quarter panels. Fenders are on the front, quarterpanels are on the rear. Im not making this stuff up, its been the same for years...

yous guys where right ! (front) FENDERS my bad ! well the reason it would NOT look bad on my R is b/c its black and you can't even see the hood unless you are right up on it. so its kind of like sleeper CF. plus Im addicted to the stuff ever since I got my spoom spark plug cover (which is actual carbon kevlar but who cares?)
so FIBER IMAGES MAKES THEM? what about a front lip for the USDM front end?
