FINALLY! i got this to work


FOR SALE: 2000 FBP Type-R. 84k miles. all stock + H&K springs/JUN III cams/GM JDM 16" wheels/Azenis 615/ACT 6-puck clutch/HD pressure plate/Pioneer/Audison/RE/I-Pod/Mugen/compuSTAR/kill switches/clean title

all info i can think of. i want to be as upfront as possible:

motor is a JDM ITR motor that has been converted to OBD-II. 11:1 CR + 200hp (stock) + JUN cams = fun. i have not dynoed the car, so no clue what gain i got from the cams. but they are big.
i've raced buttonwillow and made many trips to LA as proof the motor is perfect. NO leaks. just passed smog. new oil pump, water pump, main seal, and (i think) timing belt. approx 35k current miles on motor (going by odometer reading of car, at HMO, the engine came out of).
transmission has no grinds or any other issues. 100% perfect.
interior has no worn areas, tears, or stains.
only Mobil 1 synthetic used.
OEM optional body kit.
engine has not been apart/boosted/modified during the time i have owned it.
there is a repair spot on the front, passenger side fender. the corner is straight, but you can tell there was a bit of paintless-dent removal work done. will add picture later.
there are basic nicks and chips in the paint, as with any other daily driver. you have to look close, but you can see them. the car is not concourse quality, as i actually drive it as a DD. it is, however, in better shape than most other cars that are driven the same amount. ask anyone that knows me, they know how **** and the care this car receives.
there is a 4" scratch on the rear bumper cover from where another driver scraped it while trying to parallel park.
there is a 1 1/2" scratch on near the driver's side headlight from someone backing into me.
both scratches are on corners so you don't see them and the plastic, underneath, is black which helps.
pics of these will also be posted tomorrow.

wheels were originally CW but i painted them GM with primer/wheel paint/clear. you can tell a slight difference between the center caps (which are all new) and the wheel, if you look at them from just the right angle.

slight amount of fading on top of rear seats, due to parking lots, etc. car was always stored in a car port or garage.
never driven in the snow.
car needs a vacuum line ran from one of the sensors near the gas tank to the intake manifold. without it, i get an occasional CEL every few hundred miles. simple fix, i just haven't had time to do it. this does not affect how the car drives/smogs.

other notes:
1998 shift boot (i wanted the red stitching)
Mugen pedals (best investment ever)
no "leathering" of the Alcantra. looks new.
Pioneer deh-p6000ub comes with USB cable in the glove box. ipod is charged/controlled/displayed by the head unit.
urethane shift linkage bushings included, but not installed.
extra parts included at no charge (OEM sideskirts/other parts i can't remember).
OEM optional body kit
SAMCO radiator hoses
steel-braided clutch line
NEW (have not installed yet) Brembo blanks/PBR ceramic pads on front. i will install these before car is sold.
rear is OEM rotors with Axxis pads.
H&K progressive springs. i lucked out. these work PERFECTLY with OEM shocks.
ACT 6-puck cluth with extreme pressure plate. recently resurfaced.
Fidanza 8lb flywheel. comes with new inserts for clutch surface + screws.
RE component speakers in doors.
two 10" Pioneer Subs in a sealed box in back. only takes up 6-8" of storage space.
monster/stinger wiring throughout (friends own stereo shops. no shortcuts).
Cusco rear strut tower bar (used, but not installed)
Compustar alarm is a 2-way FM system with a 1/4-mile range. remote start (need spare key due to chip), turbo timer, interior temp sensor, GPS-tracking capable, + many other features.


there may be more. i'll update with newer posts if i think of anything. i love this car, but it's time to move on.

I have invested MUCH more in this car. the paint is FLAWLESS. Sikkens brand is what has been used. engine back and rear hatch area paint is the same. I replaced ALL outter moldings/trim on the car back in april. Even at Son's pricing youre looking at $1000 just for this. Other small things include titanium header bolts in purple, purple titanium nuts in the engine bay for the strut tower bar and upper control arms as well as they drivers side mount. anodized purple aluminum bolts/washers for the fenders/headlights etc.

I am selling my 2000 Type R #1308 it is black and it is in very good shape. The car is completely stock except for the HIDs and championship white wheels that are stock to ITRs but the wrong year. Anyway this car is very clean and drives perfectly. I would hop in this car and drive across the country and would not think twice about it. The car has 95k and I am the second owner. The car has always been owned with in 100 miles of Asheville NC we have very light winters down here so there is absolutely no rust on the car. The Type R has never been in an accident and has a clean carfax. I just had the windows tinted and the car looks great. The price is $14,800.
