Bad Brake Rotors and Pads
DISK, FR. BRAKE (15")
45251-SZ3-000
X2
DISK, RR. BRAKE
42510-ST7-R00
X2
I want to get OE Replacement pads but they say this
45022-ST7-R02 PAD SET, FR.
43022-S84-A50 PAD SET, RR.
i cant find a pad set for FL or RL im guessing they will work on both sides. First time really changing the brakes. My rotors are shot and brakes are squeaking metal to metal i only got a few days and 500 miles to get home to do the replacement.
need to know if i have to order 2 sets for the front and rear brake pads if they are universal for both sides IE RR with work on RL same with the front.
Thanks

No doubt!!!!
Please buy from Autozone so my stock options keep going up...
Last time I did pads and rotors I spent *less* than half of what you just did.

What makes you think the rotors are shot? Did you measure the thickness and it's at the minimum spec? Are there visible cracks? Otherwise, just keep using them.
Autozone's Duralast rotors are all you need. $25 front, ~$50 rear. (Unlike pads, which come in sets, you have to actually buy two rotors.)
The stock pads are pretty good. Some aftermarket pads are better, some others are not, so be careful.

Upgrading pads is like putting better oil in the car, they are a wear item and using something better is only showing you care.

Cheap and they last just as long as stock ones.

All rotors are made of steel (aside from ultraexpensive exotic ones for Ferraris, etc). And they will all rust if the car sits for any length of time. The rust on the surface of the rotor wears off as soon as you drive it. Any rust elsewhere doesn't matter.

I think he's talking about the hub portion.

Which is barely visible. Doesn't matter.
It's like telling someone about how much better your car looks because you got spacers to move your wheels and tires out 5 mm from the car, and even if they understand what you're talking about, they give you this weird look that says, "Dude! Do you realize how much you are obsessing over something that doesn't matter, that no one else besides you will ever notice in a million years?"
