Default Anyone with Koni/Gc setup regret it later?

It's a street car but I only want to buy the suspension once and don't want to regret going with a Koni/Gc setup rather then something like Jic FLT2's.

I do track the car at HPDE's but at the most ten times a year. Plan to keep the car for awhile.

Any constructive input is appreciated.

GC 400/500 on Koni Yellows here.

On one turn of the KY it's Cadillac streetable. I keep mine about 1.5 usually.

And yes, I scream "wwaaaahoooooooo" out of every corner.

Its an affordable great set up. Unless you just want a cute name for the street. stick with GC and Koni. I run 350 front and 450 rear. nice ride IMO.

I recently upgraded out of the Koni/GC, but I never regret it. (Koni/GC 350/400 )

What are the max spring rates that off the shelf (not revalved) Koni Yellows can handle?

Chris - who has a feeling that his possible spring rates might require some revalving... 12K/8K (670.56/447.04) springs.

~450-500 lbs. I ran them with 600 lb rear springs and they were fine though.

I'm guessing 670 lb front springs wouldn't do so well then....

yes you need 4 scales and generally a shop to do it.

Its quite a pain to setup, takes about 2 hrs.

I've been trying to find a place locally here in Chicago to get my car cornerweighted, but that has proved to be quite the task.

I'm using out of the box bilsteins, and running 400/600 and have yet to experience any problems. I know you guys are curious as to the Konis, but just giving my experience

What KYB shocks they sell in the US can handle 900 lbs springs?

Probably none. I drove a car w/ KYBs and 600/800# springs and it was terrible...

You drove it on the roadcourse tho...

I had these shocks and decided just to trash them before I could justify buying new ones...
