I promise each and every one of you that has never attended EXPO, that should you come out to experience what we are all about you will never miss another.
:-)
There is zero pressure to participate, ride alongs are plentiful, and the parking lot gatherings are always to be remembered. I attended EXPO for the first time in 2004 at the age of 19. I will NOT miss another.

Re: Any word on Type R expo X yet?
Prices will likely go up a little for this year because everything else has gotten more expensive. And every year it'll likely go up a little, or stay the same. It completely depends on the track we select, too expensive of a course, and we need a lot more students to make our "expected price" work, which means a lot more instructors, and we kill our instructors so some don't enjoy coming back... or we raise the price, but then some people could potentially get pissed at the increase and not come, etc.. it's a fine balance since we don't make profit. If we were going for profit Expo would be $425 at least for the 2 days at a track like VIR.

I will have to attend the year I finally pick up an R. It sounds like a blast. I'd have to bring my wonderful turbo neon too, so everyone could hate on me

who said you have to have an R? at bare minimum if you don't want to drive your srt just go and spectate. I know in the past it's in the $40 range (would assume a little more now) for just the banquet then spend the rest of your time meeting people, taking pictures and then have a few brews at the campsite

But, Summit Point has always been good to us, too, and some of you don't like them.

It's not like you don't have good tracks close to you.
You don't really know where they're looking to do it. Who knows...it could be at your back door. :-p
They don't have a lot of money, and they're conscious that it has to be affordable for the majority of ITR owners, and that it has to be located where it's likely that a large number of people will be able to go.

What's your point?
And you live quite a bit farther north than I do, not to mention the multiple South Florida people that make the trip every year.
Hell, it's great getting out of this craptastic state anyways

Actually I'll always push for an expo that's nowhere near Florida, despite how easy of a drive it would be for me. For me, one of the great things about expo is the drive/journey to the track, experiencing a new location/state and a new track. Although I'm running out of states on the east coast/eastern midwest....
