Re: 98-0914 Resurrection
Thanks for the template. I might need to resort to that if my buddy Steve/ b18c5power doesn't come through soon.. AHEM.. Think he might have forgotten about me now that he sold his R..
Thanks man! I appreciate the kind words and I'm glad you like the thread. I just wish I could find a little more time to work on the poor thing. I'll make another big push soon. Thanks for helping me stay motivated.

Re: 98-0914 Resurrection
I got a new toy in the mail today so I just thought that I would show it off. Like many of us I have this sick addiction to car parts and I just don't know when to stop! Picked up this beauty of an authentic Mugen gen 1 spoiler with original badges in amazing condition. Almost a shame to paint it because it looks so good. I have a local bud that has been trying to find one in this color for awhile but I am just too damn greedy to let it go! Thanks Alfredo!

Re: 98-0914 Resurrection
Steve came through!! I found a little box on my doorstep when I got home from work, and I had a feeling I knew what was inside. I grabbed my favorite beer (Green Flash- West Coast IPA..yum) and started on the package. I'm that guy that irritates everyone at Christmas by carefully peeling back the tape and folding up their wrapping paper while they're opening presents. I almost had my beer finished by the time I made it to these beauties carefully wrapped in OEM Honda bags (very nice touch, Steve.) He did a top notch job cutting out the rear shock tower covers for my OEM rear strut bar. They look perfect. I sent these his way around Christmas time, and it was worth waiting every second. A huge thank you to Steve/ B18C5power for taking the time to help me out and hook me up! You're one of my fav's man, even though you sold your R! Yeah Buddy!

Thanks for the compliment, if I'm ever in Dublin I'll buy you a beer!

Re: 98-0914 Resurrection
Most of the covers we see are the result of DIY. The "OEM" versions are regular covers that were modified by the dealer to accommodate the rear bar's installation at the dealership. They used a template like the one shown further up this page. The template came with the rear bar while it was still available as an optional accessory through Honda.

Re: 98-0914 Resurrection
Wow.. time flies. It's hard to believe that I've let months slip by without making any real progress on my car. I could give excuses for days, but the short story is I've just been too busy. Finishing the suspension and brakes is still next on the agenda. It's just a matter of finding time to place an order and put it all back together. I have picked up a few small items for the R, so in lieu of a real update here are my latest scores:
Replicas, but they look great. Thanks Kumar! I believe he has a few left if anyone is interested. Send me a PM and I'll get you in touch with him.
OEM Honda "Power of Dreams" plate holders not originally available to the public. Thanks Chad! He still has a few for sale as well if anyone is interested.
A match made in heaven..
Hoping to have a real update soon, stay tuned!

Re: 98-0914 Resurrection
Here's another pickup from a fellow enthusiast and 98 USDM R owner. Thanks to Mikey (Bitanga) and 98-0413 for the pristine 98 R stock radio. You probably recognize him and his car from his own build thread in this forum. If not, be sure to follow his thread! Mikey has put together a beautiful example of a 98 and is still making improvements as we speak. Photo credit also goes to Mikey.

Re: 98-0914 Resurrection
A post in the ITR classifieds group on Facebook inspired me to dig out my original window sticker today. I've been meaning to frame it for awhile and I finally managed to put it behind glass. It is definitely going to look a lot better on my wall than folded up in the owner's manual. Thought I'd share it with you guys!

damn keep it going. very encouraging to keep my build going. I would just hate myself if my integra were ever taken from me. I keep it behind a 2 story gate, hidden from street view as much as possible.
cant wait for the finished product!

Re: 98-0914 Resurrection
I've been keeping an eye out for a mint set of red JDM Recaros for years.. Since long before my car was even stolen. I've seen so many that are beat to ****, stained, and worn down that I was beginning to think there wasn't a clean set left. After passing up at least a dozen pairs since the theft, today was my day. I finally found a pair that made the cut! No fading.. No bolster wear.. No rips or burns, no stains, no dents. Perfection.
Until today, they belonged to another R owner named John. We've been corresponding about parts for a couple years now but had never managed to link up. It was good to finally put a face to a name. We snagged some lunch and hung out for a bit before loading the seats up in my car.
Thanks for the awesome seats John! I'm in love.

Re: 98-0914 Resurrection
I've probably made a trip to my storage room a dozen times to check them out since I put them away. It's almost like when I first bought the R and had to check my garage every 5 minutes just to make sure it was still there. Loving these seats! And I'm glad you like the thread.

Wow my gast is truly flabbered at the pristine condition of those seats. I have never seen a set in that condition. Not since I sat in a newly bought Type R back in 1999. Fantastic find Sir.

Gast is truly flabbered.. I like that, I think I'm going to steal it. The seats are perfect, it's like they were in a time capsule. It's almost a shame to put them in a car at this point.. Thank you sir.
