205-45-16 or 215-45-16 are ideal

The 205 width is more common so prices should be cheaper. I run that size and it's fine for daily use on average to shitty roads even with suspension modifications.

45 series sidewall is fine.. I've had 40, 45, and 50. 45 rides nice, but man is 40 a PITA.

It doesn't look thin, but doesn't look like the michelin man around your rim either.

Depends upon the tire and what you do with the car.

Personally, I like the 215/45/16, but tire choice is limited. 205/45/16 has much more available in terms of hi-po tires (and tires in general)

I dont do track or drag. My R is a weekend car.. weird but i like the fact that on 205/50/16 my rpm will be lower at 60mph due to the bigger tires...like ive write.. im actualy on those tires size but they are used and they are (i guess) similar size to the 205/45/16

Diameter:

205/50/16 = 24.1"
215/45/16 = 23.6
205/45/16 = 23.3"

stock 195/55/15: 23.4"

Side track I just bought a set of 16" wheels it came with 225/50/16 +35 offset. The tires bulge so much I'm looking for replacements tires. With this offset what would you guys recommend?

Thanks.

There is no need to kill the gear ratio even more with a taller tire, especially when the 205/45 and 215/45 are so close to stock and offer plenty of tire choices.

It will also keep your speedo accurate.
