Default 01-0692. New to me

Hello h-t members. Names Matt. First a little about me. I love Hondas. I'm 25 work in a shop and started my passion with Hondas at 16 with a 86 Crx si

So current cars. 91 civic hb. 94 civic hb si. Now for the newest to my family is my 01 type r. And my gosh this car is so much fun. Lol. Everything about is awesome handling the power, gear box the little details of the interior.
Before I bought the car I researched some stuff on here about the type r.
The one thread I read a lot was (are type r over rated). And for everyone that owns one. Thank you for positive influence to buy this car.
So about the car so far and my future plans. It's almost stock lowered shifter and steering wheel that's all. Nothing crazy. My plans some jdm upgrades power folding mirrors jdm 16in gun mental wheels and jdm type r black recaros.
And some other small things to just freshen up the car.

This is my start of the build thread.

Raise it up a little. Put license plate covers in the holes. Perform regular maintenance. Enjoy.

Found by pervious owner on the badge number. And timing belt water bump and a few upper end gaskets are due will be getting to that after I get plates and pay sales tax on it.
And yes it will be raised up to low for me. And by chance do the dealer still sell those plugs for the license plate holes?

Was it the upstream sensor? P0135? If so, what brand & part number sensor did you use?

I really got a feel of the car and what the car needs for improvements. Just really raised up and better rim and tore set up. Other then that the car was amazing.

Picked up some parts threw last week. Had some small oil leaks and fixed my injector problem. From previous owner.

Distributor O-ring valve cover gasket kit vtec gasket. And license plate plugs

Old harness little messy looking.

Not the best soder job but better then what it used to be.

First one as you can see I made it to long so for it too look good I had to reroute it. Didn't want to recut and soder it all over.

Cleaned up some old oil on the head and block

And the tool for the job. And a little brake clean.

And the finished product runs a lot better. And looks better

Then got distracted and ended up rearranging the garage a little lol. But made a little more room in the garage.

This is what's been taking up all my time the past month and a half.
How the garage was set up From the time I bought the house. But no insulation Or anything. Pulled everything out for the most part. And not owning a truck had to haul all the scrap away in my civic lol.

Did pretty good time I thought for never doing any of this type of work before. The hard part finished in one weekend doing it by my self.
So the next thing was to put primer on the walls and just didn't want to do it so like 2-3 weeks past before I finally went and painted.
Picked two heaters up for the garage. Havnt seen my electric bill yet but I'm hoping it doesn't go up to much.
Fast forward a week or so and finally started the fun part painting the colors I've been wanting to do. The start.
Finished all the painting over the weekend. Can't wait to epoxy the floor when the weather warms up. And still have to get two decals made for two of the walls.

Put almost everything back in. And this is how it looks almost every day. And I love how everything turned out.
