we'll have our service truck there with a couple of pop-up canopies
we might be a "last-minute" sponsor, if we can get our whole truck set up. my brother and i are starting a mobile-tire-shop sort of thing. we're putting our tire machine and balancer and all associated tools/track-prep-stuff in the back of a big truck so we can do track support, etc, or just sell tires and do them at peoples houses/work/anywhere.
if anyone needs anything the truck should be all set up by then, we're working on it now.

Hmm. I'll have to keep that in mind if I can't find someone who can press them in/out for me. If that could do other bushings and stuff it would be even better (can't tell if it could or not as I can't see any of the pics here).

In principle, it could do bushings. The correct fittings are always key.

Car is borked. I can't make it to EXPO. I have an Advanced run group spot which I'd like to sell. Price $200. That's $140 less than I paid.

I was there a month ago. This is correct. From I-80, take I-53 south 4.4 miles to Millsdale Road, then turn right. Yes, watch for potholes and the tracks, also stop signs that aren't that visible. You'll be on Millsdale for 2.0 miles; where it ends you'll be going uphill on a new ramp to a light. Turn right and the track is on the left.
You can also buy gas at the track, including 93 octane premium and I think 100 octane race gas, but it's significantly more expensive than at the Speedway.

The closest gas station to the track is on this stretch of I-53, south of I-80. There's a Speedway station on the east side of I-53. They sell 92 octane premium at prices that are low for the Chicago area.
You can also buy gas at the track, including 93 octane premium and I think 100 octane race gas, but it's significantly more expensive than at the Speedway.

It does suck. I was looking forward to it. I have some business trips between now and EXPO so there was just no time to fix the car to a level I'd be comfortable driving 800km and beating the crap out of it.
Spot is sold, much quicker than I expected since it was an advanced spot, though I guess price was right. Hopefully it's enjoyed!

I believe we just passed the two-week mark. For some, that's exciting. For others (myself included), that's kind of scary.
My car is pretty much ready to go, just need to find two more tires. We do have a lot of final prep work to do for the event though.
