very ot, i know, but... what does skunk smell like? similar to anything else known to man? stink bugs maybe??

just that we don't have any animal like that living here, and i remember growing up watching people in cartoons running from skunks...

if your willing to do the work, take the seat covers off and put them in the washer.

I rubed baking soda on my seats removed the baking soda, then left the open box of baking soda sitting in there for acouple days, worked pretty good

I would rent a carpet cleaner. I just cleaned my carpets, it only took an hour and it only cost me $30.00. The only thing that sucks is waiting for it to dry. I would also try the pet powder. I think Arm and Hammer makes it. Its a powder that you sprinkle on the carpet then vacum it up. Both of those should make your carpets cleaner than ever.

OR:

100 totally open squash air fresheners.

I had the same problem a few months ago. I hit a skunk on the way home from work. It made my entire garage stink for about 2.5 weeks.

Anyway, Turtlewax makes a product called "ODOR-X". 2 applications of this worked for me. Good Luck!

try a fabric or stain cleaner. these normally take out odors. i would also recommend removing the seats from the car. 1. to isolate where the stench is originating. 2. to make scrubbing easier and 3 to allow for cleaning the rest of the cabin .
