it depends on how lenient your state is. some are stricter than others. why were you driving on the wrong side of the road anyways?
btw, wreckless driving is a good thing. Reckless driving is not.

it's really hard to get them to drop a charge like that, probably your best bet is to go Guilty Defferal Plea which isnt a conviction, therefore your insurance can't charge you sky high rates, haha.. good luck.

Is that like no contest? I swear there are a lot of legal terms.
Why were you in the wrong lane? Sleepy? Just be careful man, even if this turns out bad, this should be a wake up call to your driving habits.

Re: Wreckless Driving (trickmaster505)
if its not a hefty speeding ticket, and its your first serious traffic offense ever, then you'll be fine. what you're looking at is a possible fine of like $100-150 and/or 30 day suspension of license. Be sure to ask the judge for a RESTRICTED license, which will enable you to drive only to/from school and work.
Take the driver improvement course online BEFORE you go to court, and while at court do not make any excuses. When he asks you why you did it, say you were being stupid or say you don't have a good reason why. Then tell him you don't plan on doing it again, and you just want another chance to prove yourself.
good luck

In Cali I think reckless driving is a mistermenor, or however you spell it. If the judge is cool, you'll recieve a fine and some jail time. If he's not cool, the fine will be big and jail time will be long...

Re: Wreckless Driving (DavidT or VajT)
are you sure you're talking about reckless driving NOT involving high speeds? In my area, reckless driving is one thing, but reckless driving because of speed is something else entirely.
Also, when you get to court you will be notified by the judge if there is any chance of jail time. If there is, he will postpone your court date if you want to take time to find a lawyer. Reckless driving 21mph over the speed limit and over 85 mph in my area carries a possible jail sentence. Don't ask me how I know this. LOL.

yeah but you still haven't said why you were driving in the wrong lane, at least say if you have a some what valid excuse like you were playing with your radio or were you just messing around and got caught

Re: Wreckless Driving (trickmaster505)
Get a lawyer.
RCW 46.61.500
Reckless driving -- Penalty.
(1) Any person who drives any vehicle in willful or wanton disregard for the safety of persons or property is guilty of reckless driving. Violation of the provisions of this section is a gross misdemeanor punishable by imprisonment of not more than one year and by a fine of not more than five thousand dollars.
(2) The license or permit to drive or any nonresident privilege of any person convicted of reckless driving shall be suspended by the department for not less than thirty days.
From:
http://www.leg.wa.gov/RCW/inde...ction
Get a lawyer.
Did I mention you should talk to a lawyer?
Lawyers can help you get unstuck from **** like this, talk to one.
You should definitely think about talking to a lawyer.
Lawyers generally suck, but in this instance you should think about it. Have you thought about it yet?
The only good lawyers are dead ones, but in this case that won't help you. Find a live one.
If he owns a cheap suit and chain smokes Parliaments, you have found your man. Ask him to help you.
Good luck.

Re: Wreckless Driving (trickmaster505)
Get a good lawyer and come up with a Bullshit story!
I have been cited in the state of VA for wreckless driving(mostly by speed 20+mph over) 11 times in 3 years! 8 made it to my record, the rest thrown out! I even worked a deal one time to where if I did community service, would they drop the charge and it worked, I got 15 hours of community service.
The times I got lawyers I got off, the rest of the times well you see what happens when you do it yourself. After 8 times you learn better get a lawyer!
So you turned down a lane the wrong way, WHO HASNT DONE THAT BEFORE(95% of you ppl here have done it so dont lie)! Tell them it was an accident, and that there was not a sign posted stating that the street was one way!
Accident = not intentionial, act sorry
No sign = the state's fault +1 pt
BTW in VA there are multiple conditions that fall under Reckless Driving! If it is spelled Wreckless Driving, then it will be dropped in court b/c there is no Wreckless Driving and its the cops dumbass fault for not being able to spell it correctly!
Reckless driving by speed is 20+mph over the limit, for some states it's 15+ over(like NC). Reckless Endangerment is when you drive at speeds of 100-120+ mph. At this point you are considered to be a weapon endangering everyone on the road and you will never see your car again or have a license for a very long time. Reckless Endangerment is a Felony!
Every Courthouse has a law-library, go check it out sometime!

Re: Wreckless Driving (RenzoDaPlayboi)
I got one when I was 16. I was driving really fast, ran two stop signs and a traffic light. The cops saw me and tried to pull me over and I tried to run from them but eventually pulled over. I was charged with wreckless driving, speeding, running a stop signs and marijuana possesion. My parents got me a good lawyer and all I ended up getting convicted of was running a stop sign, so I took traffic school and kept my clean driving record.
