is it worth getting a 12lbs flywheel for stock b20 with gsr tranny???
so yea like the title says i wondering if its worth getting a lightweight flywheel for my stock b20 with gsr tranny?? any input would be great. i'm not really familiar with lightweight flywheels due to the fact that i have never used one. thank you

Lightweight flywheels allow the motor to rev very quickly, but your RPM's will also drop faster between shifts. You will lose a lot of driveability. I would stick with OEM. Cons outweigh the pros for a lightened flywheel on a stock motor in my opinion.

Do it. Im on the ACT 8.8 and I daily drive my car. It really wasnt too different when I first drove it. Rpms just drop faster when finding your friction point. People who say its hard to drive with one probably arent the best at driving standard IMHO. 12lbs is only only 2lbs lighter than an ITR FW. ZERO driving problems with ITR flywheels. 12 wont be too different.

100% do it! I have ACT Streetlite and xtreme clutch, light weight pulleys. My wife still drives it to work. Bang for the buck its a must do. Now that Im boosted turbo spools up crazy fast

lightweight flywheel is a great option for road racing or spirited driving, but drag racing and boosted motors shouldnt run them because of the rpm drop. you dont want "that" when drag racing so if you do still get one and your are drag racing get the 12lb and dont go to much lighter.
i do run the fidanza 7.5lb in my gsr and love it

I'm running a Exedy stage 1 clutch with a fidanza flywheel.
I've put 100km on the new parts and I really like it so far.
I did hard motor mounts at the same time so It was quite a difference between my old beat up clutch/flywheel and mount combo.
Like previously mentioned Your revs will move around more freely since there is less rotational mass spinning on your engine.
