Re: who has a dc jdm header on a g2 teg? (da6_b17a)
I used to, now I have a JUN on it. First, in order to install it you have to have a cat or test pipe with a custom 2.5" flange. You will need longer catalytic converter bolts. Something like 4" 10x1.25mm bolts. If you don't have a G2 GSR, you will need to remove the crossmember brace and LEAVE it off. You will not be able to reinstall it. In order to get the header on, you will have to temporarily remove the front crossmember. If you have ABS don't forget to unbolt the ABS module from the top passenger side of the crossmember (3 10mm nuts). Once you have the crossmember out, you will have to notch it like this.....
After installing the header, reinstall the crossmember but like I said, leave the crossmember brace off. Once it's all installed and back on the ground, be warned that the DC JDM 4-1 sits REALLY low to the ground. My car is lowered about 2" and this is the ground clearance I had.
Best of luck and let me know if you have any questions. Later.
