what type of gear oil?????????????
i noticed that on my 95LS 5speed the shifting is kind of rough ... i have to use more power to shift into gears..someone told me to put gear oil in the trans... the trans has no problems at all except for the rough shifting ..but i dont kno what grade gear oil or what part of the trans should i put it in??? please help!!!

ok i looked up synchromesh and it sounds real good and has good reviews but do i have to take off my transfliuid pan or is there some place to put it in at

use honda mtf, which is available at your honda/acura dealers. drain and fill bolts are located on your transmission.

odds are its never been changed, i think trans fluid should be changed at least every 30-50k... gm will do you right, ive never used it, but i hear its like 14 a quart (dont quote me)
some honda MTF will do you a world of good, i dont think if you just change the fluid with either, youll be saying "damn i wish id went with the GM snychromesh"
this should do you some good, in a sence changing your MTF is just as easy as changing the oil, minus the filter, but plus a wheel you have to take off.

(edit) you do NOT want to use gear oil in your trans... gear oil would be like 75w-90, and thats way too thick for a honda trans, HONDA MTF is the recomended fluid, and its very similar to 10w-30.
