what are these sensors?!?!? please help!!!
i am replacing the b18a in my 92 integra with a b18b.
the b18a has one extra sensor on the back of the block (green one in the picture) that the b18b doesnt.
can someone please identify all three sensors for me and possibly what i need to do about the green one, since the 98 b18b block doesnt have it.
any input is appreciated.
here is a better view of the green plug

Re: (akteamster)
the one on the head is your ECT engine coolant temp sensor . the one on the thermostat housing is the fan switch and the one on the block im 90% sure is a knock sensor

The green one is the oil temp sensor for the operation of the condensor fan.
The brown one is the coolant temp sensor for the operation of the radiator fan.
I guess the white one up top is for the coolant temp gauge in your dash.
The B18B puts the coolant temp sensor on the back of the block instead of at the thermostat housing as the one pictured.

Re: (akteamster)
The B18B block does have the oil pressure sensor. It does not have the green plastic outside as pictures. It is a round-ish metal thing with a wire connecting to it. It's in the same location as pictured though....just to the left of the oil filter.
The below picture is of a 97 B18B block. Look at the blue "T" just to the left of the oil filter. That is the oil pressure sensor hole and the sensor I was talking about is on top of the "T".

EDIT: Now as for why that green plastic sensor is where it is.....umm you got them there. On a B18B block, that is a hole for crankcase venting. You can see the in the picture I posted....it has the 5/8" hose coming from the return hole on the Endyn breather kit going into that hole.

actualy after looking at it the green is not the oil pressure sensor the little round thing next to it is in the above picture. I am not 100% sure but i think it is another coolant temp sensor.

I just looked up a picture of the back of the integra block....I think that green one might be for the water temp as well.
Goto http://www.acuraoempart.com. In the top right you can choose integra, and then choose year, etc. Once you see the big long list, click on "Engine Sub-Cord Clamp". Then look at numbers 32 and 43. I think you are looking at number 32, but I can't tell for sure from the picture.

Bump...
Can anyone confirm the green plug ?
I'm trying to fix my problem on my 93 Integra RS where the radiator fan keeps running continuously after the engine is shut off.
The wiring diagram shows an Oil Temperature Sensor, but I can't find one anywhere in the Chilton manual or on the internet.
From what I gather from all the posts here, the oil temp sensor is the green plug shown in the picture ?
Better, yet, does anyone have the part number too?

1.) The green one is a radiator fan switch.
2.) The small black one next to the oil filter is the oil temp sensor for A/C
3.) The brown one on the thermostat housing is another radiator fan switch. Use either this one, or the green one.
4.) The one on the head is the coolant temp sensor that goes to the ECU.

Re: (vtec_avenue)
On my B18A, that green sensor is for the Engine Oil Temp Switch. It will cause the condensor fan to come on after the car is shut off if the switch completes the circuit, when oil temp is over 206 degrees or something like that.

Re: what are these sensors?
what is the pointy sensor looking thing right to the right of the green plug? and can that being not hooked up affect vtec engagment?

Re: what are these sensors?
Green one to the left of the oil filter is the knock sensor, and the smaller one down and to the right (between it and the oil filter) is the oil pressure switch.

Re: what are these sensors?
It may be difficult to solder without damaging the sensor... but most any local wrecking / u-pull-it should have a honda product you could find a compatible clip.
Either that or someone here may have a spare from all the engine-swap harness butchering!
