At least the 94-01 Integra cup holders are down by the console, giving drinks a solid base to sit on. I just wish the holders extended out a bit farther, because a Route44 drink is a tight squeeze up near the stereo head unit.
Oh well, shouldn't be drinkin' in the kaaaa anyway

Floating cup holders up high like that are usually flimsy as hell. I wouldn't trust one like that with a Sonic Route44 drink.

Of course, grabbing my drink in my Integra has caused me to switch to radio preset #1 plenty of times when the Rockstar can bumps it. And I truly hate how I have to chose between the cup holder and the ash tray in the Integra, even if the drink is in the right holder. Retarded design. In the morning, I need both coffee and a cig, not one or the other.
Thinking about it, I don't think I've ever been completely happy with the cup holders in any car.

I'll vouch for high up cup holders being a pain. I can't count how many times I've spilled a beverage in the cup holder in my Audi. At first glance, its "whoa, neat, the AC can keep my drink cold", since the cupholder is right under the center vent. Then you take a quick right turn, and need to quickly find a napkin...

Our 96 Corolla has cup holders down low, also, but they're higher than Integra ones, and they have little lower support pieces that drop down when you slide it out from the dash. I also have my doubts putting a huge drink in there, too.
The only sure-fire thing is those old-skool clip-on holders you stick on the top of your door panel. I always remember using those while on road trips in the 80's when I was little.

Damn! I forgot I had cup holders. For the past month, I've been driving around during my lunch break wishing I had cup holders and power steering. Thats what happens when your car gets stolen and it takes over a year before you drive it again.

being a DA owner myself, i just either stuff the cup between the seat and the e brake or i just fill up an old water bottle with whatever "drink" i want at the time. saves the headache of having to clean up spills.
