What color bulbs would i use to get my stock cluster to glow Blue or Red?
I'm bored w/ my gauge cluster and want to get the gauges to glow either Blue or Red. I have a stock '94 integra LS cluster. What color bulbs would i get to achieve this color? I know the stock bulbs have a blue rubber piece around them and it makes the gauges glow amber, so i'm assuming that i need a different color to make it glow blue or red. help is appreciated as always

you WRONG. don't answer if you don't know please. I already bought some blue ones and it made it WHITE. plus, like i said in my original post, the STOCK bulbs have blue rubber covering them and it makes it amber-ish. I'm guessing it has something to do w/ the coloring of the gauges themselves. It has to mix w/ the light to make a diff color.

no YOU WRONG! I know what I'm talking about because I've used all of them. Think before you accuse someone of anything.
You apparently must have bought those hyper duper super white bulbs that have blue coating on them. Samething with the blue condom over the stock bulbs. It has NOTHING to do with the color of the gauges.
guess what, I put RED bulbs in there. You need to buy bulbs according to what color the light is, not the color of the bulb itself.

last time I checked pepboys, autozone..etc had amber bulbs, but if you want blue, red, yellow...etc I'd suggest you try ebay. I lost all my bookmarks to the sites I bought em from.

led's are work. you need to solder and do a little fabricating.
the bulbs are alot easier. i got mine from checkers, they are vector brand, in a yellow package. they have been in for like 9 months and have faded slightly.

dont just look in the bulb section but look over in the "performance section" aka "ricer section". thats were i found my red bulbs, and you need 3 194 bulbs. the red is hot looking with the red glow of my voltmeter in the gauge benzel. great color and gets peoples attention.

I thinks its because his car is not warmed up yet. The idle should go down after it warms up.

Yah...it's pretty chilly here right now, and my car starts out at 2k rpms when i first turn it on but lowers below 1k after i've driven around for about 2 minutes.
