Weird sound in the engine...
Well, this might be a noob post, since I don't know aobut cars that much.... Oka, I just came back from LA. I got aobut 1.2k miles from the whole trip. When I got home everything was fine. The next morning I hear a sound inside the engine... like a flutting noise... Driving it on 1st and 2nd gear the sound you can hear it.. but after 3rd and up or 4000 RPM+ it will stop... And I was just inform that my lil bro pour some oil in it... even tho the oil was a lil below the 2nd dot... iono the first oil it had.. but my bro said he pour in some Castrol in it... But the sound there before he mixed the oil... is it timeing belt? axles? have any ideas?... I was thinking of just oil changing it.. but iono if it's gona be bad driving with the mixed oil and stuff... Give me some sugguestion of what to do.. thx in advance

I would recommend searching before you post, but ill lend a suggestion.
Oil is oil, as long as it is the same viscosity(spelling) you should be fine. I dont believe the timing belt would be making any noise, if that breaks, your car wont be moving anywhere.
Is it loud, does it sound like noise in the head? You could have soemthing loose in the engine.

i have the same problem right now. when i let my clutch out, i hear a rattling noise, but when i push in the clutch, the sound goes away. i'm thinkin for me its most likely the input bearing in the tranny, or possibly the throwout bearing in the clutch. either way it doesn't matter cuz i have a brand new type-R tranny, toda flywheel and action clutch i'm throwin in next weekend.
good luck to you tho, have someone who knows their **** check it out...
