Default weatherstrip moldings.. paint or no ?

on the exteriors of our cars we have the ever so durable weatherstripping around our windows. im only talking about the passenger side door window and the smal lwindow on this 1995 integra 2 door LS

mines peeling and shows the chrome under the black, i was wondering what the best tool would be to get the rest of the black off the weather stripping would be.

also wondering if i can paint them with some heat resistant forever black paint ?..

- would it look oem or fit in with the rest of the modlings in terms of color? or do i jus paint them ALL ? so the entire side matches.?

anyway have any experiance in this field ?

there's a write for people with civic's, i guess it's a common problem for them. so yeah, i guess just tape it off and strip the rest of the black off. scuff it up and paint. i recommend 3m trim black paint. it comes in a can and you can get it at auto paint stores. that'll match the best. i've seen some other trim black paint that duli color came out with but i don't know about duli color... most of their stuff is

Because it serves a purpose of keeping the weather out and I'm sure you don't want to mess that up.
