I hear that replacing the taillight gasket will fix it.

Those type of things are hard to fix. Try doing the gasket thing for the rear and then get some clear Permatex sealant stuff from the auto store to temporarily seal the leaks in the front if you can find them.
Good luck.
Good luck.

so the tailight gasket is the reason why water collects in the trunk.

This has been a problem with the 3rd gen Integras since they rolled off the assembly line. This is nothing new. Chances are: it's the gasket.
With the puddle on the floor mat, best thing you can do is listen to the guy above and sit in the passenger seat during a heavy rain or something so you can better pin point the problem. Good luck

Same problem happened with my husbands integra. it was actually the seal around the taillights itself, not the gasket. but you might as well replace the gasket while the taillight is off.

If the gasket doesn't work, you might want to check and make sure there aren't any holes in your wheel wells. I had one about the size of a dime on the top/back side and when I drove in the rain the water would spray off the tire and up into the hole enough to fill the spare tire well pretty quickly. While I was looking for that I also discovered the hose (I think it's a drain from the sunroof) close to the right rear well was disconnected, might be that too but I'm not sure.

i had the exact same problem and it took me about three weeks to fix. it's not necessarily just the gaskets. there are three other things to take note of:
1) check the drains from the moonroof (there are four) and make sure they are patent to the wheel wells.
2) check the rear wiper nozzle and make sure it's not clogged and leaking down the headliner into the passenger compartment (thanks patrick)
3) make sure your taillights are well sealed and not leaking - this was my problem. i just re-sealed my tail lights with silicon/puddy and no more leak. ive been dry eversince

^ everything he said, and check the antenna unit drainage hose to make sure it's inserted properly.

the sunroof drain tubes are under the headliner they run from the corners of the sunroof, the front run down thru the A-pillar panels and the back run through the rear interior panels and dump out the fenderwells
