Very Slight whining noise under acceleration..

Very Slight whining noise under acceleration..
For starters.. it's an LSD GSR Tranny. I don't really drive my car often, but I recently notice a very faint whining type noise at some speeds.. per say 2nd gear.. barely on the throttle i hear it a little.. 5th gear barely accelerating I hear it.. when I let off the gas I do not hear it..
Also when downshifting, let' say to 2nd gear for a turn.. I hear it also.
The transmission doesn't have many miles on it at all and I've always used pennzoil synchromesh or GM synchromesh.
Any input is greatly appreciated

Re: Very Slight whining noise under acceleration..
My trans did the same thing. Mine was in increments though: 30mph in 3rd, 40mph in 4th and 50mph in 5th. It started getting on my nerves. I just recently tore my trans apart and replaced all the bearings in it except for the countershaft bearing on the clutch housing side. I did notice that the old bearing on the LSD had tons of play in it. Whenever I get it back together, I will let you know if it fixed it or not.

Maybe if there are shavings in the fluid. But majority of the bearings aren't in a spot where they can be visually checked unless the trans is dropped.
