Re: type r spoiler... (RICEBURNER1406)
Why are you selling? I thought you were GS-R to tha MAX!!!
The two holes on the far outside of each side of your hatch are the ones that will be used. This is if you're going to equip with an OEM ITR wing. There are fakes though that have the wider base so that you'll use all of your holes. If you get an OEM one, you'll have half of the big circles on each side of the back showing.
OEM ITR wing doesn't have 3rd brake light.

Those holes are really ugly. Got the OEM Type-R spoiler for my gs-r, looks so much better, but those holes are ugly. Going to have them welded shut and have the hatch repainted sometime soon. Just think about the extra money you might have to spend to get those holes plugged up. I know im going to be 400-500 in the hole after the repaint. Just food for thought. Good luck.

Speaking of holes, I'm going wingless , and I need to find out how to close the holes in the hatch. I'm not planning to shave it, just trying to find an insert for it now.

Re: type r spoiler... (XtremeCarTuner)
What I did for a temporary fix is I put in black grommets that fit the holes. I then took some silicone and filled the holes to prevent and leaks. I went to home depot to look for some plugs, but the only ones I could find looked like crap. If anyone has any better ideas than this... feel free to let me know. I'll get some pics up of a before and after of my hatch when I finally get the cash together.

Re: (AmplifiedGSR)
let me describe it as best as possible. The base of the stock (low) wing is very wide. If you are looking from the back of the car, there are 3 holes on the right and 3 holes on the left. 2 of the hole on each side are to bolt the wing to the hatch. The extra hole on the right is for the brake light wiring for the old wing. This hole is about an inch in diameter and is about half covered by the type-r wing. The extra hole on the left side is about 1/4 an inch in diameter and serves as an added "bolt" into the hatch. This hole is not covered at all by the type-r wing. I hope this helps. digital is back at home, ill try and hunt one down.

Re: (Radon_03)
Was it an aftermarket spoiler? It shouldn't have 3 holes on both sides. Just the one side for the brake light should have 3 holes. If you're looking for a spoiler, what color are you looking for?

Re: (trutuner)
As far as the Type-R wing it was OEM, taken from a CW ITR. As far as the third hole on the left... not sure. The guy who owned it before me had the wing replaced, so maybe he had an extra "support" added in. The hole is sloppy and one of the ends is actually raised. Beats me.

Yes it should.
There's three holes on both side of the hatch where the wing bolted on, adding up to six total. Although one side has a plastic piece in the hole, it's still a hole. I took that plastic piece out altogether, and that leaves the hole exposed. Much better if you're going to switch your wing to ITR or go wingless by doing that.

Re: (ACRDC2)
You could go to a graphics shop and get a sheet of vinyl that's the color of your car. Cut out little squares and cover the holes with it. That is if you're going wingless/ITR wing. It's not bad for being temporary until you get it professionally sealed.

Re: (Radon_03)
I am sure these guys can probably answer your question about shaving/filling body work holes...
